Life with Mom and Tina Ch 70

    Previously:

"Okay but promise me that you will tell her." Bette said knowing that she going down stairs to tell Tina everything as part of their no secrets policy.

"I promise." Jess said. She knew deep down what Bette was going to do, but she didn’t want to admit it to herself.

The next day Bette took the boys to the park and to pick Shannon up from the airport. Leaving Jess and Tina home alone with Angelica.

Tina was sitting in the living room reading a script. Angelica was playing on the floor. Jess had been upstairs cleaning her messy teenager room.

Jess slowly walked down the stairs trying to get up the courage to tell Tina the truth. Jess held copies of the scans. She paused halfway down. She took a deep breathe and let it out. She walked down the hall rubbing her finger along the wall as she went.

When she reached the living room she leaned against the column. Angelica smiled at seeing her favorite sibling. She walked over to her.

Tina looked up from the script when Angelica moved from the floor and out of her eye sight. She smiled when she saw Jess pick her up.

"Finished cleaning your room?" Tina said.

"Yeah. Are you busy?" Jess asked.

"No I was just doing some reading." Tina said as she set the script down next to some hot wheels cars and crayons.

Jess sat down next to her on the couch with Angelica in her lap. She was playing with the locket that Tina given her the day that they got married. She only took it off when she showered, went swimming, or practiced.

"Is there something that you wanted to talk to me about?" Tina asked.

"Yes." Jess said and handed the clearly labeled scans to Tina.

She looked at them and then at Jess.

"I need you to promise not to tell anyone." Jess said.

"I promise." Tina said with no other reaction.

"I know mom told you but I needed to tell you why I did what I did." Jess said.

"You don’t have to say it again. The vent works both ways." Tina said.

    1. Jess is struggling with growing up. Right now the person that she is connecting with is Angelica and sometimes with her mommy. Some how she needs to get herself back. I think that her injuries are playing a big part in this. Hope that she gets well or is better able to work with it.

    2. Maybe Jesse is very worried about her head injury. Mybe is a wee bit of jealousie. She should know that Both Tina and Bette love her dearly. She was the only one for a long, long time, now there are four more. thanks

    3. Jess is having a lot of problems now and I think that some of it may stem from sibling rivalry. In this chapter, Bette returned with Shannon and the boys just as Jess and Tina were talking and Tina got up to say hello to Shannon and did not go back and finish talking to Jess and I think that ticked Jess of real bad and then Tina fixed a plate for her and didn’t sit at the table with her. She feels she is being ignored and they don’t really care.

    4. Interesting Chapter, I think that Jess really needs to work with the psychologist. She is suffering badly with this sepration anciety, and it is understandable. Just think Bette is the only one left that has been there all of her life and while she loves Tina and the rest of her family, leaving home she feels that she is having to cut her only safety cord or net that she has always known.
