    Chapter 54 – You Are Taking A Well-Deserved Vacation


    Chapter 54

    Alphaville Records

    A knock on Dana’s office door interrupted the giggly gossip gathering.

    “Come in!” Dana called out to her visitor.

    Aaron opened the door as he began speaking. “Listen Fairbanks, we should probably just put out a press release on the Silva Dolla thing today – oh, hey Tina, didn’t know you were in here.”

    “Hi, Aaron.” Tina said.

    “Anyway, we should issue a blanket press statement on the Silva thing until you get in touch with his lawyer out of New York.”

    “You got it Aaron. I’ll get it out before I head to lunch.”

    “And, Tina, before I forget, could I see you in my office when you’re done here?”

    Tina and Dana shared a look before Tina answered.

    “Absolutely, I’ll be right in.”

    “Great.” Aaron said as he forced a tight-lipped smile at her then walked out.

    “Uh-oh, somebody’s in trouble.” Dana teased.

    “Shut up. Seriously, do you know what that’s about?” Tina asked.

    “Not a clue. I know Helena took a red eye to London with a stop in New York last night. I wonder if he talked to her?”

    “Shit.” Tina whispered. “Alright, whatever. I’m going in.”

    “Go! I’ll wait for you right here.”

    “You wanted to see me?” Tina asked cautiously as she poked her head into Aaron’s office.

    “Yeah, come on in, Tina. Close the door.” Aaron was in the middle of texting so he did not catch the anxious look on Tina’s face before she turned around and slowly closed the door.

    She took her time stepping towards the cloth chairs in front of Aaron’s desk. He was clearly engrossed in his text messaging to notice the uneasiness Tina was visibly consumed with. The entire 20 yard walk from Dana’s office to his, Tina was racking her brain trying to figure out what she could possibly be summoned into his office for.

    He finally set the phone down and looked up at her with a smile.

    “Sorry about that.”

    “It’s fine, Aaron. What’s up, is something wrong?”

    “No, I don’t think so. At least I hope not. I wanted to talk to you about a few things that have been brought to my attention.”

    2. Oh my goodness. It doesn’t have to be as bad as Tina thinks. All she has to do is talk to Dana, then go and talk with Bette and Kit and let them know what Aaron has asked her to do. HONESTY, Tina, honesty is the answer so that you won’t have problems with anyone over this, especially Bette. Please don’t let Tina do anything but tell the truth, and everything will be fine. Tina didn’t cause any of this she is only a tool for Aaron and what he wants. Truth in all things. Bette will believe her, she knows where she was all weekend and she didn’t talk to anyone else at anytime. Great update. Thanks.

    4. Cliffy indeed my dear MeLL! This is going to be interesting! I sense danger danger for B&T’s budding relationship! Betrayal or avoidance of….. and I would certainly no what to be in Tina’s shoes ! Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place! Great as ever… Happy to hear of another post soon!
