After pulling up to the biker bar, Tina looked out her window to the place she knew Bette frequented when she was in town. There it was. She’d never been before, as she had to keep so quiet about her affair, but there it was before her. The moment filled her not only with anxiety and some confusion, but fear too. She looked down to her summer dress and girly sandals with pursed lips – worried she would become the target of some harassment. As she breathed in and out, she thought of driving back home to change, but she didn’t want to have the freedom to back out; she needed answers.
When she had closed the car door behind her, a chill was sent over her legs and arms, but she threw the keys in her purse and composed herself. She would have to be confident of her goal, and quick to leave.
With each step closer to the bikes out front, she felt the adrenaline pumping through her, and she had to smile. It was the same feeling she often had when she heard Bette’s motorcycle pull up to her driveway. Bette was so rough with her. And with that thought, she had to shake her head and remind herself of what she had come for. She needed to speak with someone who worked there to find out where Bette was.
Two women were talking and smirking as they leaned against the building, but Tina didn’t give them much attention, because she didn’t want to put herself in a vulnerable position.
“Nice,” she heard one of them mumble as a puff of smoke was exhaled.
Tina tried not to appear wanton with the sound of the woman’s voice, but it reminded her of Bette’s. Crude compliments were often a form of foreplay for Tina, even though she knew her friends wouldn’t understand such things. Straightening herself again, she gently pushed on the door before realizing she had to pull it – and gently wouldn’t be enough.
As one of the women chuckled to herself, the other swaggered over and threw her cigarette to the ground. “Gets stuck sometimes.”
Tina just nodded as the woman tugged the door opened, motioning for her to find her way in. It was courteous in the rough way in which Tina was so accustomed. It was even comforting, so she smiled and stepped inside to take in the bustle and few stares before her. The music was loud, the patrons were scary, and it reeked of booze and smoke.

so sad, and you are right, she’s not the only selfish one. I guess all people are kinda selfish in a way when they’re searching for happiness ya know, Tina’s no different. She can’t give up on looking for Bette though, maybe that Jack girl can help

Okay 3 people Tina has broken. Tina’s problem is more than her selfishness
agreed we all have a bit of selfishness/self interest going on…it’s all about perspective, no? and sometimes – if not every time? we’re a bit late in realizing just what’s going on and it’s too late to not have hurt others… and I’m sure that may not make any sense to anyone but me… basically I agree with TiBetter24 :D
The rest of my comment disappeared. Anyway, as I was saying. It’s frustrating because Tina appears weak to me. Decisions aren’t difficult to make when you know who you are and what you value. Tina is discovering this as the story develops. I hope that she finds strength and becomes the woman that she needs to be in order to get Bette back. She needs to be stronger if she’s going to fight for her.Another great post GR, I hope this comment doesn’t disappear on me lol.
Thought provoking story GrindRight. The story makes me question why Tina while married to a kindhearted man such as Greg would consent to have an affair particularly with a woman. Maybe Tina thought because Bette was a woman that the affair was not really cheating rather only experimenting. Did she have the affair because her sexual relationship with Greg became to routine and mundane? The story mentioned several Times that Tina likes Bette’s sexual roughness, obviously Greg wasn’t delivering what Tina needed and Bette did.. Maybe this is the reason why the affair was not a one nightstand with Bette and continued. On the other hand, did her affair happen because all women have a curiosity for knowing how it would feel to sexual touch a woman, the unknown? Some act on their curiosity and others do not. Did Bette know Tina was married before she touched her? I am looking forward to seeing where this story goes GrindRight.Seduction
OMG… total disaster!! And to know that whats the meaning of that “affair”=relationship (longest for Bette) … Geez! A mess! But again… Will you enlighten me on how it was started? Did they agree on the only one night stand only but then dragged till that long? Or did they simply feel the vibe from the beginning and want to explore it more as the long term thing? Or?… As said, don’t play with fire or you’ll get burnt, now see what happen, all devastated and broken. Erm… I wonder what makes T able to broke so many hearts?? …. So, GR… I am looking forward to your next chapter, hopefully it is giving me more answers and I do hope we will like it as you said ;-) … Though without saying that we already love your story ^^, he3… Peace all!

I feel sorry for Tina, but she need to struggle a little to value Bette’s presence in her life. she need to find herself and love herself in order to find true love and value it. I’m looking forward to know what will happen to our beloved Tibette ;D
from what i understand,because English is not my native language,i think the big problem here is communication,i don’t think Tina knows how Bette feel about her and the same about Bette,and also i think Tina is afraid of what people would may think about her,and about Tina being selfish i think when you act motivated by desire and atraction is like you are blind,and in those moments you don’t think, just you FEEL…THANKS GRINDRIGHT FOR YOUR STORIES IS PLEASURE TO READ
Selfish… aren’t we all selfish? Don’t we all get lonely sometimes, don’t we all want to chat with people about anything? Just anything to make us feel a little better… I know I do… Anyway Tina was not in such a perfect relationship, neither with Gregg, nor Marina… otherwise she wouldn’t have missed that feeling of being objectified, lusted after and yeah she broke some hearts but that’s what happen in real world, you have ups and downs. Will be interesting to see what chapter 6 will bring to this, and I am glad you found the song inspiring… funny thing those were the exact lines I was thinking about while reading this story…’is it possible that you were hurting worse than me?’ and ‘Oh, I know I’m outta control now…’.
