Carmen wakes up and looks down at shane who is still sleeping peacefully. With the thoughts  of the days of just her and her love napping all day behind her, she cant help but smile. A family is something that she has wanted for a long time. She goes to the kitchen and hear’s shay in his room yelling.

Shay: dude what are you doing?! (yelling into his headset)

Carmen: are you ok sweetheart?

Shay jumps startled

Shay: yea, juan cant shoot for beans

Carmen: your on the phone?

Shay: no I got a headset. See..(handing her the headset)

Carmen putting it on

Juan: take that mutha fucka’s

Carmen: juanito!

Juan: tia?!?!?! Um I mean..

Carmen: I don’t wanna know.. here’s shay. You guys have fun

Carmen goes down the hall into the kitchen and gets a bottle of water then goes back to the room. Shane is sitting up flipping channels.

Shane: hey love…(mindlessly flipping channels.)

Carmen: hey..whats on

Shane: I don’t know. Nothing on history channel

Carmen: that’s all you watch.

Shane: indeed it is. Whats shay up too?

Carmen curls up next to her in bed and shuts her eyes.

Carmen: on Xbox. Hes probably swearing with juan

Shane: well babe he’s a little boy, that’s what they do

Carmen: I know, but I want him to stay sweet shay

Shane: he’ll always be sweet shay. Its not like he’s blatant about his lil dirt

Carmen smiles and rubs her stomach

Carmen: you think this one will be good

Shane: yea I do. O shit, the adoption lawyer called. Theres been a hiccup.

Carmen: (sighing) whats the problem?

Shane: we have to find Carla to get her to sign away her rights to shay. Gabe had his taken so he’s out the way, just Carla, but no one can find her.

Carmen sits up and rubs her forhead. shane rubs her shoulders.

Carmen: what can we do?

Shane: we gotta start looking. And if we find her we gotta ask her to sign over her rights

Carmen: where can we look?

Shane: shay…

Shay: yea

Shane: come here a second

Shay: ok

Shay come in the room and flops down on the bed between Carmen and shane

Shane: we have to talk

Shay: I didn’t do it

Carmen: do what?

Shay: we have to talk means what did you do

Shane: well not today. Do you know where your mom is?

Shay: umm no. she left when gabe started acting up and before I came here. I haven’t seen her since.

Shane: ok buddy that was all

Shay goes back down the hall to his room.

Carmen: well, I guess its time to go to work on  completing our family.
