    Angelica is going to her friend’s house for the night.

     

    “I know my mom,” Angelica said with confidence, one hand on her hip as she looked up at Bette. Tina had spilled the Angelica’s glass of milk all over herself, and had gone to shower. However, that was also an excuse for her to get herself ready for later that night – for when Angelica would go to her sleepover, and when Bette and Tina would be left alone together.

    Looking down to the child, Bette sighed with the biggest, undeniable smile. There in front of her was an incredibly intelligent child; Angelica was so powerfully mature for her age, and insightful as well. Bette could only admire the energy and knowledge of the girl before her. “You know … I think I could use your help.” She was teasing, and Angelica quickly picked up on it, as she was used to her mother’s humor. “I know we teased her for spilling all over herself, and I don’t want her to be upset.”

    “You laughed.”

    Bette chuckled and nodded along, “I did. I think your mother’s so sweet, and now I don’t know what to do. I think I should do something nice for her.”

    “I can’t help you! I’m a kid – I don’t know what to do. I sure don’t know what you should do.”

    The look accompanying Angelica’s words had Bette laughing, but she tried her best to do so quietly, so that Tina could shower in peace, without becoming concerned for some sneaky collaboration. “Well, neither do I.”

    Angelica followed as Bette walked into the kitchen, wondering what to make for Tina. She knew that Bette wanted to surprise her mother with something they could all make together.

    “What are you looking at the cupboard for?” she asked, subtly imitated Bette’s stance – lifting her hand up to her lips in wonder.

    Bette took a moment to think. “I want to make your mother something to eat, but I’m not sure what she likes to snack on.”

    “She loves banana splits! – And don’t call her my mother. That’s so weird. You can call her Tina around me,” Angelica beamed, helping Bette to find all of the ingredients as they worked together. And when the bathroom door opened, they both froze, waiting to hear Tina step across the hall to her room, and close the door behind her. “Okay, let’s hurry!” the little girl squealed, carrying as many things as she could in her arms.

    1. Oh yeah you’re a tease alright hahaha in fact you’re the Mistress of Cliffhangers!!! This was amazing, Tina is so lucky and Angelica is just the cutest, I love the little dynamic they have going on here. I can imagine them being a family already! A little curious but are you planning to bring anyone else into this story? Like the rest of the gang or something. And oh I do hope you will eventually give us a chapter of Tibette at Tina’s school hehehe ;) Thanks for this amazing story GR and looking forward to the next one which should be posted ASAP please!!
