The night in general was busy for both Bette and Tina, both women greeting acquaintances and setting up future meetings with people they were interested in working with. Even though they hadn’t wanted the party to turn into something work related, that was exactly what it had become. Tina spent some time talking to Roger about a one year contract to work with Pepsi, shooting commercials and posing for ads. She was excited to say the least and Bette couldn’t have been happier for her. It probably had to do with the fact that most of the shooting would take place back home in L.A. but Bette couldn’t be too sure.
Every now and then, her attention would drift over to Tina and she watched the beautiful blonde weave more people under her spell. Bette could tell there was something more bothering the blonde but she figured it was a conversation best for when they were behind closed doors. After the incident with Sam, there was so much more to talk about.
Bette couldn’t believe her ears when Tina had told her the woman Sam had been having an affair with. There was no way to explain what she felt except for the feeling of pure and utter shock, why Ava would choose to cheat with Tina’s cousin was beside her.
At the same time, Bette couldn’t find it in herself to care about what Ava had done. As far as she was concerned, their relationship and her feelings for Ava were completely over. The main thing Bette was concerned about was the fact that both Ava and Sam had hurt Tina beyond imagination. Tina was putting up a good show for everyone at the party but Bette knew better.
She couldn’t understand how two people who claimed to love and care for someone could hurt that person so much.

Thanks for the great update. Yes, love makes you do crazy things to protect your love. Tina’s gonna kick some of Bette’s butt quite soon. Should have listened to her wisdom.
>.< Disaster. Whatever Bette *thinks* is going to go down with Ava, it's going to be a complete disaster. Also, she'll have broken her promise to Tina, and that's not going to go down lightly. Doesn't Bette realise that simply living her own life freely and being happy with Tina is all the "revenge" she'll ever need? Oh well. ;P Thanks for the post, Liah! :)
Ooooh~~~~..I can smell trouble in the air!! Mayday! Mayday! … For once Bette, just let the skunk go! I hope Bette gain her clear mind before continuing whatever on her mind and I hope no paparazzi around to squeeze her with some untrue stories :-/ it’s so sad to have some shadow from the past haunting their current life! Just shake it off!! Ugh… I hope it won’t be affecting their future together …. They really need to find the closure there.
