Forever Together
Hey! My names Allison, I’m a sophomore in high school with
good grades, perfect family and friends, and average looks, and of course
straight. I’ve got dirty blonde hair, I’m short, 5’2 to be exact and I love my
friends. Now my one secret I’ve been
keeping to myself over the summer was that… I like girls. And tomorrow is the
first day of school. I can’t wait to see my best friend, Julia. Julia is a bit
taller than me; she’s got brown hair and gorgeous eyes. I’ve had a secret crush
on her for about five months, and whenever she asked me who I liked, I’d always
come up with some guy, like Drew was the last one. Drew is a jock who’s
obviously a douchebag who no one really likes. But anyway here’s my story:
——————————————————————————————————————————————
Today was the first day of school. I had PE as my homeroom,
which I went to as soon as the bell rang so I wouldn’t be late. Perfect
attendance as usual typical Allison. Some people would call me a nerd just for
that, but honestly I’m right in the middle, between the nerds and the popular
crowds. But who would want to be popular anyway, right? I’m very athletic so PE was easy. I walked
happily to my next class, why so happy? Well Julia was in my English class.
English was all the way across the school from the Gym so I had lots of time to
think.
“Had Julia changed over the summer?” I thought.
“No way, she’d never change” I said reassuring myself.
As I walked into the
classroom Julia was already sitting in a seat, with an empty seat next to her.
I practically ran over to it so no one else could take it. Julia was more
popular than me, but she never let that get between our friendship.
“How was your summer?” Julia asked me as I sat down.
“GREAT how about you?” I replied.
“Pretty good”. Julia said with a happy grin.
Julia was wearing a very pretty blouse, and jeans. I looked
down to see what I was wearing, just a sweatshirt and shorts, casual me. I
dressed like this because I really didn’t care what people thought of me. The
teacher started talking about adverbs, verbs, nouns and all that stuff we
already knew. So I whispered to Julia.
“Meet me by the giant tree out at the front of the
school at lunch. That’s where everyone is meeting up” I whispered.
