Lip Service Fan Fiction Season 2

Those 5 words stung Cat’s heart worst then anything ever, worst then 2 years ago when Frankie went MIA on her. Somehow she knew that this time round Frankie meant it. And suddenly the pain was so unbearable she had to get out of her office. She couldnt breathe. She ran out, bumped in Jay on the way and out onto the street. The chill from the air was still here and it hit her straight in the face. But at that moment she felt disorientated. What just happened? What’s happening? Argh i can’t breathe and tears flow down her cheek un controllably.

Frankie was on her way with her mum to France. She had decided to take her up on her offer, plus she had hinted that she needed a new photographer to bring out her style on her new collection so it was killing 2 birds with one stone. Bonding time with mum, plus work. Wait, it was more of killing 3 birds with one stone, getting away from Glasgow. The past week had been nothing short of torture. She could almost still smell Cat from the sheets that they had used to make love on. But she remembered the conversation they had outside her house. It was just shy of plain and clear that that night to Cat was purely a mistake in which she has no intention of reinventing or remembering. To Cat in was a mistake but to her it would be a memory. Just before she left the station she send the text. She felt that it was the proper way to end it. She hadn’t informed Tess of whereabouts she was going (not like she could speak to her since she was almost hibernating with her lover in their lovenest opposite) but she did leave some money on the table for rent (just like she did the other time). However this time she didnt even tell Jay. She just wants to dissapear.
Initially she though that Frankie was just going to leave her but was still going to be around Glasgow. It was just a period that they both have to avoid each other but things were going to go back to how it was, after all they were best friends for a long long time. Then she heard from Ed that Tess had told him that Frankie had been gone this whole time. She still paid rent through bank transfers but Tess had not heard from her for the whole month. Not even a phone call. Then Jay said the same thing and it was then she found it wierd. This was exactly what happened two years ago when she MIA. But even during then Jay had kept in touch with her.
Cat went up to the apartment, it felt eeriely silent, unlike the last time she was here. She went into her room. It was cold. Not the temperature cold. But cold cold. Like no one owns the room, and indeed that was true. The drawers were empty. The table was minimal. Apart from a photo. The photo of her during her birthday. Where did she go? For the first time since that night she tried calling her.
