Bette and Tina boarded the Peabody jet on the Thursday before the Memorial Day weekend. They were greeted by the pilot and one flight attendant. The flight crew had flown from JFK to LAX that afternoon to transport six Peabody executives who would be attending various functions over the holiday weekend and staying in Los Angeles through Wednesday of the following week. Peggy had arranged it so that when the jet returned to Los Angeles on Wednesday to bring Bette and Tina home the pilot would just do a quick turnaround and bring the executives back to New York.
They were flying overnight so they would land at JFK early on Friday morning. Bette had told Tina that Jodi’s deal was being held at 3:00 in the afternoon and they would have about an hour’s drive from New York City to get to the upstate N.Y. location. Peggy had made all the air and ground transportation arrangements so once the plane landed a car and driver would be available to transport them to Peggy’s Manhattan penthouse apartment. Peggy would then join them on the drive to the field where the exhibit was being unveiled.
Bette and Tina settled into their plush leather fully reclining sleeper seats for take-off but once they reached cruising altitude they were able to move to the couch which was located in a small intimate sitting area. The flight attendant let them know that she was at their service; all they had to do was ring the call button if they needed anything. After serving wine and a cold shrimp pasta dinner she made herself scarce to give them privacy.
Bette and Tina ate their meal, drank the wine, talked and just enjoyed being surrounded by such luxury.
They knew they were very fortunate to have been adopted by Peggy Peabody and treated as family. Peggy loved Bette at first site and she’d always held a soft spot in her heart. It gave Peggy pleasure to do these little things for the people she loved, and Bette appreciated that she could share them with Tina. Bette glanced at her watch and saw that it was after midnight L.A. time.
“Hey Tee it’s after midnight in Los Angeles so technically it’s your birthday. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you for agreeing to spend your special day at a business function to help my career. You are one in a million. I wanted to do something special to commemorate the occasion of your birthday but it’s a gift that will keep on giving well into the future.”

I just fell a little bit more in love with Bette! She is so sweet, hot and a very romantic woman. I think Tina will never forget her birthday . Was there ever a social meeting?

Hey BAT great story so far. I enjoy that you give us story before bedtime and when we wake up. I was kind of confused Barbados? What about Jodi and Peggy?

Great chapter, Bat. So happy Bette decided to celebrate Tina’s birthday instead of going to see j’s exhibit and who knows what that idiot might have done to embarass them, one can never trust her to use common sense or show gratitude she is way too selfish for that and it would have ruined Tina’s birthday in a way she would have never forgotten. With this plan she will always remember what a wonderful time she had. Such a wonderfully sweet holiday for them. Thanks for posting.
Evening! I was such an amazing surprise to see this post after working 12.05 hours today. I had no idea I would work that long today! Boy am I exhausted and got to turn right around and go back in at 5 am. That is if my boss don’t give me the day off tomorrow. I love this surprise that Tina is receiving. I also would love to be treated like a daughter to Peggy like she does Bette. She’s truly blessed to have Peggy in her live along with Tina and Boo. I glad she didn’t go to Jodie show! Sorry, I just didn’t like her in the show or with Bette. I pray we get another update before I fall asleep. I’m off to get my uniform ready for tomorrow, take a very hot shower and then check back to see if you updated again. PPS
