Sandra of the Secret Service
It is a little over eight hours between airports. It is a time to relax, go over notes and hopefully catch a brief nap. Her destination is Gavon City, the nation’s capital of the tiny Northern European country of Gavonia. Nestled in between Norway and Sweden, it is where the financial trail of the Tigress and Penguin lead her.
Researching through her tablet, she brushes up on the House of Gavon and its Queen, Yonda. Aside from her duties as Queen, Yonda is noted for her business expertise and ability to work with the nation’s parliament.
Upon landing, Sandra McLane will have to be ready to hit the ground running, as she is expected to taxi off to the American Embassy to meet with either the Queen herself or one of her representatives about the case. Her compliance, or lack thereof could be key to the investigation overall.
Betty Drake
Betty cannot help, but ask if only to make sure.
Betty “How are you able to communicate with me in English?”
Looking through the window of her space plane, she sees the being known as Zastia still hovering about in front of her. She wonders how she is able to handle the radiation or if she has a shield up to protect from that sort of thing. She has a lot of questions, but she cannot help but go with the obvious one first.
Zastia “I possess a translator device. Most of the advanced species in our galaxy possess them.”
Betty smirks to herself.
Betty “Yeah, well…we don’t really have one of those here.”
Betty does not hear back, only seeing Zastia look on.
Betty “I apologize. We do not have a translator device.”
Zastia “…I acknowledge the lack of translator device. I am in search of a Star Sapphire.”
Betty is surprised.
Betty “You know her??? Um…I guess, follow me.”
This is becoming intriguing and confusing to Betty as she begins to turn her plane around. She is hoping this is not the biggest mistake of her life.
Joan Stanley
She waits patiently at the door. She checks her suit one last time to make sure she is good. The door opens and Joan sees her for the first time in what feels like forever. She sees her smile.
