“uh…yeah, we’ll get that” he said then they took Spencer over to the bed and she sat on it as the doctor was behind her and I was in front holding her hand

“you’re doing so good…” I told her smiling then she grimaced in pain as he put the needle in her back and she just held my hands calmly, and within a minute or two he was done and they laid her down and I sat next to her bed “…feel better?” I asked her smiling

“yeah…” said simply, then she fell asleep for a few hours and I was in the room reading magazines and everything

“how’s she doing?” her mom asked me coming back in

“still sleeping…” I told her

“you know…I’m really glad this is working out this time…” she told me “…between you and Spencer…I guess you two were meant to be together from the beginning…” she said

“yeah…I guess so…” I told her smiling then Spencer started to wake up a little

“I’ll let you two be alone…” she said smiling at both of us, then I tucked a piece of hair behind Spencer’s ear

“hey you…” I said soft in the dim lighted room

“hey…” she replied “…how long have I been asleep for?” she asked me

“a few hours…” I told her

“have the doctors said anything?” she asked

“they just came in a few times to check up on you…but other than that they haven’t said anything…” I told her then she ran her fingers over my arm

“did I do that?” she asked me

“uh…yeah” I told her “it’s fine though…” I said “…I’m all better now”

“can you believe we’re going to be parents?” she asked “I mean…it seems like just yesterday we were in high school and you were telling me you loved me…” she said smiling

“I know…” I told her “…I keep thinking even through the breakup and everything, I’m still glad I was in that car accident…otherwise I’d probably still be with Aiden…” I said making her smile a little

“when you told me you loved me I didn’t believe you” she admitted

“yeah well…I don’t blame you…part of me didn’t believe me either…” I said then the doctor came in
