    A Vampire's Lament – (Chapter: 6-Epic)

    I’m fucked, aren’t I?

"Look, Spencer. There’s something else I want to tell you but right now, I have to take you home. I’m sorry, please don’t hate me. I’m only doing this because you’re the most important person in my life at this point. It sounds crazy but there’s more to my story that you should know about." I tell her while glancing at the fuel gauge.

We were running low on gas so I had to hold in the rest of my thoughts for now. Spencer glared at me with such intensity, it almost made me uncomfortable. "Ashley, I don’t hate you but you certainly frighten me. I don’t know what to say, Hun, but I’m sure you can read my thoughts to figure out what I’m feeling." She told me while blushing underneath those tear-covered cheeks.

I knew she didn’t hate me but she resented my powers because I could reveal her deepest, most intimate thoughts when she wanted to keep them hidden from me. "I won’t invade your mind when you’re this fragile, Spence. Just trust me, okay? I’ll tell you the story but we need gas first since we won’t make it to your house like this." I say with frustration caught in my vocal cords.

I wasn’t sure what Spencer was thinking this time because she was closing her mind. It was working and now I’m paranoid that I won’t be able to predict her actions.

It took me about ten minutes to finally find the nearest gas station with the reluctant help of Spencer.

The first thing I talked about with her was the legend of the goddesses and how the two immortals we met earlier were probably the most powerful undead women alive. She was taking it quite well but it depends on your definition of well. She was pounding her window as hard as she could with her fist with every word that came out of my mouth.

I was beginning to become annoyed with her hostile behavior but I forced myself to tolerate it. When I pulled the car up to the next fuel pump at the 7-11, it took me awhile before I could open my mouth to speak again.

"Ashley, what does this all have to do with me anyway? Can’t you just leave me alone?" Spencer suddenly requests quietly. My heart fell to the floor of the car and I turned my head to look into her neutral eyes that even I could not interpret.

    2. LMAO, great update. Ashley running through traffic without pants, that’s hilarious. So Carmen’s a werewolf and she turned Aiden? Why didn’t she ever turn Spencer into a werewolf? Weren’t they dating or something? So many questions. Anyway, can’t wait for the next update, PMASAP!!!!!!
