Author Notes:

I woke up to my mother and my father yelling at eachother. Apperently my father didn’t wipe the counter. I quickly brushed my teeth & took Tilly for a walk. I walked in the door & took off my sweatpants & replaced them with dark skinny jeans & a grey Hollister tank top, ran my straightener through my hair and texted Tara letting her know I was ready. In a matter of minutes, Tara was honking hopelessly in my driveway. I gave a quick wave to my parents and ran to the car. I threw my bags in the back seat & plopped in the front seat.
“Thank you. For saving me from that hell hole.” I threw my head back & put my feet on the dashboard. Tara took the cigarette from her mouth & puffed a cloud out the window.
“My pleasure” we sped out the driveway & onto the road. “So did you talk to Justin this morning?” Tara asked taking another drag.
“He texted me last night saying he was sleeping out, Which I didn’t mind. Am I like his parent or something?” I laughed and looked out the window
“You don’t think he likes you do you?” Tara threw her cigarette out the window. I quickly looked at Tara.
“HAH. Please. Been there, done that.” I rested my head on the car seat and let the cool wind blow in our faces. It was starting to get cold & the leaves are starting to change. “Thank god it’s getting cooler” I said
“You can say that again” Tara squinted out the windshield. She blasted the music up & we didn’t say much for the whole car ride.
Chapter 4
We pulled into Tara’s drive way. Tara pulled the keys from the ignition. We glided out of the car & I retrieved my bag from the back seat. Tara opened the garage door & we went inside. I threw my bag on the couch & greeted Tara’s golden retriever mix & her pit bull. They wagged & whined.
“JOEY LOOK!” Tara was by the front window motioning Joey to come look out the window with her. I did as I was told. Out the window I could see a Small brunette girl & a big muscular brunette guy walking towards the house. “What do we do!? What do we do!?” I ignored Tara & opened the front door to greet them. The little brunette approached the door with her hand sticking out.
“hi! I’m Ashley! This is my brother Aiden” I looked at Aiden & he smiled at me. I stupidly smiled back. “We just moved in next door. Couldn’t stand the parents anymore” Ashley rolled her eyes. I smile nodded and laughed.
“I’m Joey. I don’t live here, but I might as well. This one over here is the one that lives here.” I pointed to Tara and she flashed Ashley a sheepish grin.
“Yeah come in.” Tara finally managed to say. “so where are you guys from?”
“LA.” Aiden responded stepping in the door. He had brown hair that just covered his eye brows & he had bright green eyes. I could see the resemblance between him and Ashley. Ashley had tight auburn curls with red bangs. They were both the bad girl/boy type.
“What the hell are you doing in New Jersey!?” I asked Aiden. By now we were in the living room.
“I don’t know what made Ashley want to move here. But I was doing no good in LA. So I mean why not, right?” Aiden sat down.
“Yeah. I was supposed to move here with my girlfriend, spencer. But, I guess everything happens for a reason.” Ashley looked at Tara and smiled. I could tell that Tara just wanted to jump up and down like a phsycodic maniac. Buddy ran over to Aiden, wagging? Buddy HATES when new guys come in the house. But he approached Aiden like he was his best friend. Kelsey did the same only swaggered over to Ashley. Tara immidiatly flashed me the this-is-too-weird look.
“Do you want anything to drink?” Tara asked them. Ashley turned her head from dog licking & nodded.
“Please” she returned to attempting to ply Kelsey off of her. Aiden was too involved with rubbing buddy’s stomach. I chased after Tara into the kitchen. Tara looked over at me & flailed her arms in the air. I tried to say something but nothing would come out instead we both started cracking up.
“I’m sorry, but we might just have to replace Hannah and Emily tonight with THEM.” Tara laughed.
“I agree. I mean, Buddy & Kelsey agreeing on liking these people?” I whispered.
“Buddy especially!” Tara whispered back as she poured Ashley a glass of water. “Should we go for them?” Tara leaned against the counter & raised one eye brow.
“Dibs on Aiden.” I quickly said & rushed back into the living room. I stopped when I noticed Ashley & Aiden were talking as well. I backed myself up & threw myself into Tara to stop her from going in there. “shh! Listen…” we poked our heads out of the kitchen & tried to listen.
“Ashley, we left all memories of Madison & Spencer at home for a reason! We need to move on to better people! & from what I see… we have met our better people. I mean let’s face it, they’re both smoking hot, they’re sweet & georgous. Come ON, Ash.” Aiden whispered. Ashley sighed & looked at Aiden.
“I’m way ahead of you” she smiled and they both high-fived each other. Me & Tara looked at each other & gave a silent mini high-five as well.
