    Chapter Eleven: The End of the Present

     

    For the past week she had been distant and rude and I was hurting and she didn’t care. Still she hung out with Sara not caring that even though she had lost my trust she still continued to be with the people that had hurt her. All she ever did was tell me she didn’t trust me, when all along it was me that loved her, it was me she could trust. I hadn’t hurt her ever, I hadn’t let her down ever, why was she doing this.

    I called her that morning, she was with Sara I knew, and she was so rude to me. Acting as if I was annoying, not saying I love you, never had she called me babe in the past week. She was punishing me for what someone else had done when all I wanted to do was to love her, to be loved again by her. Never in my life had I felt so unwanted, so unloved.

    She called me when she got home, "You called?" she asked coldly. I remember when she had been warm, she was so warm. Now she was cold, she hadn’t even remembered Bianca’s two year anniversary.

    "Um yah, I did." I told her softly.

    "What do you need?" She asked. That made me mad.

    "I need my fucking girlfriend back, thats what I need." I told her angrily.

    "I’m right here," she said softly.

    "Why are you so rude to me when Sara’s around?" I asked her straight out, the answer I got broke my heart.

    "Because…she isn’t very fond of you Ashley." SO thats what I had come down to, an inconvenience to her friend? The same Sara that had kept us apart for a good month, the same girl that had let her get raped when she was so drunk.

    "So then what Sara thinks of you means more to you than treating me the way I deserve to be treated?" I asked, crying but I didn’t let her know it.

    "Thats not what I said!" She said in pure frustration. I remember when she had been gentle, when she had been soft, I missed my girl…I missed her warmth.
