Before the Worst – (Chapter: Three)
“You like?” She asked, already knowing the answer but wanting me to say it.
“Yeah.” It was all I could think to say. I couldn’t believe this was happening.
With the hand that wasn’t guiding my own; she reached up and ran her fingers through the back of my head, before pulling me in for a kiss…
“Spence…Spencer…Hellooo.” Ashley was waving her hand in front of my face, trying to snap me out of my daze as she looked between me and the road.
“Huh?” I asked, unaware of where I was.
She looked concerned. “Is everything okay? Where did you go?”
Shit, that was a daydream? I asked myself, feeling that it was too real to be. Besides, I could feel my wetness pooling in my underwear.
“Uhh, sorry, I space out a lot,” I mumbled.
She laughed, “Must have been a good day dream. What was it about?”
I looked at her and couldn’t help but smile. She looked great. Dark aviator shades, her hair blowing in the wind, as she whipped her BMW around a corner.
“Oh, um, nothing important. Where are we driving too?” I asked trying to change the subject.
“Rodeo Drive,” she replied simply.
“RODEO DRIVE?!?” I half screamed, looking at her with a stunned expression.
When she called very early this Saturday morning and told me that she wanted to go shopping, I assumed that we would be driving to some nearby mall. Rodeo Drive was way out of my price range. It wasn’t that my family didn’t have money, actually the exact opposite, we were pretty loaded. Mom was a neurosurgeon, working long hours most days but she brought it major bucks and dad, he was one of the top psychologist in California, having his own practice and seeing top stars like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt about their marriage and Jennifer Aniston about her lack of one. I wasn’t supposed to know this of course, but Dad was really bad at being discrete.
Even though my parents made massive amounts of cash, most of it was put into college funds to get Glen, Clay and I through years and years of college. Another good portion was put into trust funds that we couldn’t touch until after we finished at least 4 years of college, guaranteeing that we all went. So needless to say we lived pretty modestly, with the exceptions of family vacations which were always to some major exotic location.
