Wow. I just had the best night ever. Ashley and I finally got together.

Wait. Where is she?

“Ashley?”

“I’m right here.” my head snapped to where her voice came from. God she is beautiful. Even in the morning she was gorgeous.

“are you alright? With everything that happened between us?” I could see the worry in her eyes. She searched my eyes for any signs of it not being okay.

Ashley. She could have anyone. She could have had Maggie when I was on my not so serious date with Aiden.

“What? Spencer?” I could hear her moving closer. Her hands were in my hair. Those hands.

“What’s wrong?” she was tucking my hair to the back. She’s doing it again. Making my stomach flip and my face blush.

“You are so beautiful.” And again.

“Stop. I’m okay. I just. It’s a big deal and I want it to be for you too.”

“It is.”

“When I woke up this morning and you weren’t here next to me… for a second I thought it was a dream.”

“I know. I didn’t even want get out of bed. I just wanted to shut out the world a little bit longer.”

“Come back.” I reached out to her gently pulling at her.

“I would love to.” She took my wrist in her hand pulling it to her lips and kissing it softly.

“But you might want to see who’s been looking for you.” what?

I took my phone as looked down at it.

“Oh my God.” I mumbled to myself.

“What’s wrong baby?”

Smile. Did she just call me baby?

I looked at her, surprised and excited. She must have taken my reaction the wrong way because she looked down.

Her voice small and quivering. “You know… I just.. After last night I thought- well I assumed…”

She stood up, burying her face in her hands.

Oh no.

Quickly I was on my feet, my arms found their way around her thin frame.

“Ashley…” I tried comforting her. I didn’t want to be the reason she cries. Slowly I turned her to face me.

God she looks beautiful. Her curls were falling down her shoulders. Even with the tears falling down her face, I couldn’t help but think how beautiful she was.
