“Ooooh, we’ve got a little liar on our hands,” she teased. “That’s not what I meant though. I was talking about your job in terms of… when are you going to leave it?”
“Right. I don’t know yet. I guess I’ll tell them I’m leaving when I get back next week, and I’ll stay until my case is finished. It’s actually Aiden’s case that isn’t over yet.”
“That asshole.”
“Yeah,” I laughed, “But we have a court date set up for next month, so hopefully it’ll be worked out then.”
“So… you’ll move out in a month?”
“I don’t know for sure. I mean, ideally, I’d like to have a job before I get out there, but I’d probably have to interview anyway so that may not be plausible. And I obviously need a place to live.”
“Well, if you won’t stay with me, couldn’t you just stay with your parents?”
“I guess. Although you’ve seen how supportive my mom is…”
“Yeah,” she snorted. “Almost as ‘supportive’ as my mom.”
“Almost.”
“If I ever have kids, I’m going to be the strictest, most annoying, pain-in-the-ass parent a kid could have.”
“You’re so not,” I laughed.
“Yeah I am! Because I’ve already established the fact that I had the worst mother in the world, so in order to be a good parent, I basically just have to be the opposite of her.”
“Uh huh, and then you’d drive the kids away, so they’d be teenage runaways or something. Either that or they’d be total babies.”
“Nah, I’d whip ‘em into shape,” she joked. “But you… you’d be, like, such an indulgent parent. You’d have them on the longest leash in the world.”
“So not true! I’m going to be balanced, so they’re disciplined but not too disciplined. And you know, I’d think you would be the kind of parent that would let them do whatever they wanted.”
“No way in hell. Because I was allowed to do whatever I wanted, and it completely messed me up.”
“Easier said than done. Once they’re there and they’re begging you to let them go out with their friends until way past midnight, you won’t stand a chance.”
“Then I guess I’ll need you there to make sure I don’t do anything stupid,” she said, a half-grin forming on her face.
“Yeah, I guess you will,” I replied. The smile on my face spoke lengths, and in that moment, nothing else needed to be said. A comfortable silence enveloped the car and we drove on, unmistakably content.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the Spashley fluff! I seriously can’t get enough of it so the fact that I know there is even more to come makes me happier than I can say. Yep, they’re totally going to have children one day. This was a great update. I loved the fluff, I loved Spencer making up with Ashley’s best friend, I loved the future children innuendoes, I pretty much loved everything about it. I’m sad to know that you’re ending it soon but I can’t wait to read what you have come up with next.
I think Ashley and Spencer would make a very good parent team. Those two balance eachother out. Your story is amazing, I hope people react to mine the way that I react to yours.

Awww lil towel moment… that was a little harsh on spencers part but i think ash got her back with the little jeans bra combo :D good to see that spence is on good terms with michelle again, shes a good friend to have if ever times got rough between spashley. I loved this chapter and of course can’t wait for the next …..and the ending aww little tear well it had to end sometime. Really excited about your next story too :)
