Days Of Future Past – (Chapter: 104)
Conviction: Days of Future Past – 104
“I wonder what that was all about?” asked Brian to Jessica. Jessica shrugged her shoulders. The hot rumor of the mill the last two days was that someone had caught sight of Steele and Cabot, going at it in her office. The thought, left Jessica rather cold.
“I don’t know, and I certainly don’t care,” stated Jessica. Christina raised her eyebrows, and Brian shrugged back. Potter came up behind them, waving the list of over 100 names that the cell phone that had called him, had called. He felt rather vindicated to see that he wasn’t the only number on the list.
“I have the… what’s going on?” asked Nick, watching as Steele barged into Alex’s office, slammed the door and began yelling.

“What the hell is going on? You come charging into that room, acting as if you don’t know who that woman is, then you high tail it right back out again! Is this about the other night?” Steele barraged Alex with questions. The Bureau Chief stood up from behind the desk. Hands on either side, staring Steele down.
“This is most certainly not about what happened the other night in this office. This is about everyone going over MY head, and running things, in MY office!”
“So then take charge! Fred said she is good, and she is. She’s taken an angle on this case that might very well seal the deal for us. You want Mike’s killer in jail as much as I do. So what is the real problem?” asked Jim. His eyes ablaze with curiosity and anger.
“I – I – I want to get on with my life,” stated Alex. Jim turned to the door, then back to Alex.
“You knew her? From…”
“Yes,” admitted Alex. Jaw set, pretty lips in a pouty look, then a long sigh. “She, Bree, was the woman assigned to watch over me while I was in the Program. I betrayed her,”

“So you really do know Alex? Amazing,” Christina said to Bree, the ex Marshal was flexing her knee. Then she began to tap her cane. “You don’t talk all that much, do you?” asked Christina.
