    Diary of Jane

Spencer gave her best pouting face and looked deeply into the brunette’s eyes. “Baby, make it work. Pu-wease?” She even brought out the baby talk. There was no way Ashley could deny that face and that tone in her voice.

“Alright, alright” Ashley said whilst grabbing the camera and rolling her eyes. “But you are going to owe me BIG TIME.” The brunette said pointing her finger to the pale face of the blonde. It was way to cold to be taking random pictures.

Ashley looked around her then at the camera. It was an older camera, the kind that spits the picture out as soon as you take it, but it was also bulky. Ashley spotted a rather flat branch. It almost resembled a paddle meant for spanking. As much as the idea thrilled her, she figured she better get the picture taken. The branch was at a perfect height, almost eye level. She set the camera atop the branch and set the timer. She rushed next to Spencer and snaked her arm around the blonde’s waist causing a sense of comfort.

    Blink…..blink…blink.. Blink blink

The little light went faster indicating it was about to take the picture. Ashley leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on the blonde’s cheek right as the camera flashed. The picture fell to the ground.

Spencer walked over and picked it up while singing. “Shake it like a Polaroid picture, hey ya.” Ashley couldn’t help but giggle at her girlfriend’s sense of humor and all around adorableness.

But when the blonde grabbed an old shoebox from her backpack, the brunette couldn’t help but be confused. “What’s with the box?” Ashley asked eying it carefully. Spencer opened the box reveling many different items such as ticket stubs to concerts and movies that they had gone to together, an unwrapped and unused My Little Pony band-aid that Ashley gave to Spencer as a back up when she doctored up the girls knee, and a few other little things that meant absolutely nothing, but everything. “You kept all of this stuff?” Ashley asked shocked but flattered.

“Yeah, it is kind of like a memory box of us. I’ve been adding things to it since we started dating fourteen short months ago. This Photo goes inside of it.” The blonde said shaking the photo in Ashley’s face.

    1. wow that was some pretty powerful stuff. Your writing gets better and better every time, that one was tugging at my little heart strings! It’s still sad at the end though – bittersweet!

    7. This story was emotionally exhausting for me. I love every second of it. I didn’t exactly like that Spencer was dead but I guess thats the way it is. And BTW, I really love that song. Breaking Benjamin is an awesome band.
