Chapter 4

Faith arrived at the cottage a little after seven am. Giles was pacing up and down, chewing the arm of his glasses.

“Don’t start G, I know what ya gonna say, n I gotta get me some sleep.”

“I was worried about you Faith, Lady Croft has made a lot of enemies over the years, I don’t want her getting you involved in something that would compromise our task here.”

“She didn’t G man, nice to know you care though, now if its ok I’m gonna get my head down for a bit. Been a long night, she sure knows how to entertain.”

“Erm well… Yes you should get some rest my meetings with the council have been rather lucrative. I feel we should be moving forward any day now.”

“Great G I was beginning to think our little trip here was getting to be a waste of time. Was a little bored here doing nothing ya know, anyways I’ll catch ya later.”

Faith took herself off to bed, her sleep filled with nightmare visions of the trails that lay before her. She woke with a jolt “LARA” The last thing she remembered was Lara laying flat on the ground a vampire sneaking up behind ready to pounce.

She found Giles sat in the kitchen drinking tea, surrounded by books.

“Lara’s in trouble.”

Giles spilled his coffee as Faith startled him. “Faith… What?”

“I said I think Lara might be in trouble”

“Trouble?”

“Like the vampire kind.”

“I’m afraid you’ve lost me Faith, Start over.”

“The vision we have, well I just had one huge mother of a nightmare and Lara was there. I mean like right there with us in Sunny Dale”

“You sure she was in Sunnydale?”

“Well no not really, I mean well they were all mixed together the dreams, it was just me n her in these weird places. Then I saw the scoob’s and we were in this cave she was all alone when the vamp got her.”

“I’m not sure what to make of all of this Faith maybe it’s just you bringing her into your dreams.”

“G I’m serious she’s gonna be in trouble I just know it. I got a bad feeling”

“About her?”
