Unpacking the last of her clothes into the hotel room, Ashley sighed looking at her watch, already 8pm. She walked over to the French windows and admired the city view, Although she loved L.A, and it would always be her home, she loved London as well, she was in awe how the city literally never slept, 3am and there would be hoards of people walking around the streets as if it was midday.

She closed her eyes momentarily and felt the british sun beam down on her tanned face and smiled as an image of Spencer appeared. She opened her eyes again, feeling lonely and remembered the last time she was in London doing her debut tour in England. Some of her music had bootlegged over the internet and she discovered that it wasn’t just America that loved her sound, almost all of Europe went crazy for her too. She had spent a fortnight in England touring the major cities with Spencer by her side.

They had spent every minute that wasn’t spent performing sight seeing and having fun, Ashley mused feeling lonely she wondered aimlessly to the bed and picking up her acoustic guitar she started strumming a new tune she had been writing.

Meanwhile back in L.A, Spencer sat at her desk marking tests mindlessly, as hard as she tried she couldn’t help but think of Ashley, knowing she would be in England by now. She checked her watch, 5 minutes until her next class. She pulled out her mobile and speed-dialled 1.

“Oh my god, I miss you so much!” Was the instant reply after only one ring.

“Oh my god I miss you so much too! Were you sat on your phone?” Spencer smiled warmly, it wasn’t the same as having Ashley there in her arms, but just the sound of her voice pulled on her heart strings.

“Well I was waiting and hoping that you would miss me enough to call” Ashley pouted.

“Well if I had waited till I missed you more than my heart could take, I would have phoned you the minute you left!” Spencer sighed. “I miss you Ash”

“Hey I miss you too, but guess what?!” Ashley perked.

“Don’t tell me, you were joking and you’re at home waiting for me??” Spencer beamed, she knew it wasn’t true, but couldn’t help but hope”

“Oh babe, I wish… I was going to say now i’m here its only 1 month and 29 days till i’m home” Ashley sighed, it didn’t matter how she phrased it, it still felt like a millennium.

“Is that all” Spencer sighed.

“It will fly by, and ill by ringing you all the time, and emailing you, and when you get home we can try out those new web cams” Ashley flirted.

“Ashley Carlin, how many times do I have to tell you, i’m not getting down and dirty for a web cam!” Spencer smiled.

“I guess we will see”

“Babe, I’ve gotta go, the bell’s just rang” Spencer frowned.

“Oh ok, ill be going to bed soon, got an early start but ring me at 10 your time, ill be up by then!” Ashley groaned.

“Ok, sweetdream” Spencer smiled lovingly.

“Wet dreams maybe!” Ashley grinned knowing fine well that right now Spencer would be sporting some lovely red cheeks.

“I hope they include me”

“Always and only you my queen” Ashley cooed lovingly.

“You know, the Ashley Davies I fell in love with will be turning in her grave hearing you talk like that” Spencer joked, she loved the new more affectionate Ashley but couldn’t help but miss the Ashley she fell in love with 9 years ago.

“That’s fine by me, Ashley Davies was a flirt and a tease, and a little bit easy” Ashley sighed remembering all the mistakes she had made in her younger days.

“So is Ashley Carlin, but that’s why I love her, I’ve really gotta go, ill ring you at 10, I love you” Spencer sighed rushed as her class filed in.

“I love you too Mrs Carlin, and i’m only those things for you now” Ashley smiled before the line went dead.

“Ok, ok come on quieten down, I know you’ve all just had lunch but we are back to learning now, has everyone done their homework?” Spencer shouted over the noise of her class.
