From Spangs to Spashley – (Chapter: Chapter Seven)

Ashley drove to her mansion. “Here we are,” Ashley said.

“Thanks for letting me crash the night, Ash,” replied Spencer.

“Anytime,” Ashley stated with a smile.

Ashley, Spencer, and Kyla walked to Ashley’s mansion. “Are you ready for our foosball rematch?” Spencer asked with curiosity.

“Babe, I’m trying to gain the feeling of my thumbs back,” pointed out Ashley.

“Aw, is Ashley Davies afraid to play a game of foosball?” Spencer teased.

“No, she’s not,” responded Ashley. You’re on, Carlin. Kyla chuckled.

“Looks like you met your match,” Kyla noted amused. I’ll leave you girls to your fun.

“Alright,” said Ashley. It’s time for me to kick your ass at foosball, Spence. Are there any conditions for this round? Ashley and Spencer began to play foosball.

“Not that I can think of,” Spencer replied. So you’re still not going to tell me about your mystery girl?

“Nice try, but distracting me won’t work this time,” stated Ashley.

“It’s not for distraction,” Spencer responded as she made a shot. I’m not allowed to be curious over who the girl is?

“Yes, you’re allowed to be curious, but the thing is I’m not interested in any girls right now,” explained Ashley. Except you. I’m just going through some sort of dry spell. Could we please drop the subject?

“You promised we would talk about the new Ashley Davies,” Spencer began. You are actually going through a dry spell? Never. Why can’t you tell me your best friend?

“I don’t know,” admitted Ashley with a sigh. Maybe I’m just not ready to admit those feelings out loud yet. I don’t know if that makes sense or anything. Ashley made a shot.

“It makes perfect sense,” Spencer responded. I think we’ll call this game a draw for now.

“Really?” asked a surprised Ashley. Yeah, we’ll have a rematch some other day.

“Yeah,” Spencer answered. I’m guessing that you’re in love with this girl, right?

“How could you tell?” asked Ashley with curiosity.

    “Lucky guess,” Spencer answered.

“It’s funny the things that Spencer can and can’t pick up on,” thought Ashley. Or is it just sad that she can’t see what’s in front of her own eyes?

“So I don’t even get the girl’s name?” Spencer asked with curiosity.

“Nope,” answered Ashley. Nothing’s going to happen anyway. It probably won’t work out like my past relationships. I’m 98 sure that she doesn’t feel the same way about me.
