    **Graduation Day** – (Chapter: 15)

     Graduation day 15*

I haven’t talked to Spencer in days…she wont return my phone calls and I can’t go see her because I have to go to college too. It’s just a three hour drive isn’t easy, and just the look on her face when she walked out of her dorm room, I can’t stand causing people pain…especially the girl I love. I need her now more than ever, but she’s not here, and it’s just lonely. I sat in my room looking at the ring on my finger, and then Kyla came to get me…

“hey…you ready? The limo’s here…” she said still really upset, we were going to Chad’s funeral, and Josh was still unconscious…

“yea…” I said whipping a tear from my cheek both Kyla and I were in black and I had a veil over my face and so did she…we got into the limo and drove to the church, his parents would speak, then his sister, then me…Josh would have spoken but he couldn’t be there which made it more sad because they were basically brothers.

We got out of the limo and Aiden escorted us to the front rows…when I saw him he ran and gave me a hug “ash…” he said “I know…I miss him too” I said knowing what Aiden was thinking…we went and sat down and his parents spoke about what he was like when he was a kid, and they mentioned me and Aiden and how we would play together as kids, and they said how they thought me and him would get married, but they were glad me and him stayed friends. I had to calm myself down before going up there to give my speech…

“I never thought I’d be up here doing this…I thought having to do this for my father was hard enough, but having to do this for Chad is unbearable. He was my best friend; he always tried to show me the bright side of things. Whenever something went wrong in my life he always knew what to say, and some may say that’s because of the past we had, but I don’t believe that…it’s because that’s the type of person he was. Taking care of his friends was first priority. When uh, when we were dating back in high school, we were at the river court one night and Aiden was there too and Chad told us how lucky he was that we were all friends…but Chad, it was us, who were the lucky ones.”
