I was so happy that Spencer had said yes, that I almost forgot she wouldn’t be moving in (assuming everything went okay with her dad) until next month. But I guess some things would be worth the wait.
“Good morning, girls,” Mr. Carlin greeted us from the stove.
“Mmm chocolate chip pancakes, Dad? You’re the best!” Spencer exclaimed.
“Consider it my way of making it up to you,” he joked. “So what do you two have planned for today?”
“Well, we’re going to Ashley’s new place in Santa Monica. And then we’ll probably hang out at the beach or something.”
“But tonight, I want to take everyone out for dinner,” I added.
“That’s so nice of you, Ash, but really, you don’t have to,” he protested.
“I know, but I’m going to anyway!” I told him with a grin. “So think of some restaurant you’ve been wanting to try but haven’t been able to get into yet.”
“Uh, well, I don’t really know…”
“I’m sure Karen could name a few, Dad,” Spencer said.
“You’re probably right.”
“Cool, so just let me know at some point and… we’ll go!”
“Will do. Have fun today, girls. I’ll be at the office if you need me.” He headed out to work and left Spencer and I sitting at the table.
“So… we’re telling him tonight?” she asked.
“Yeah… I think it’s as good a time as any. Unless, you know, you want to think it over a little more… and I’d be fine with that. I mean, I don’t want you to do something you don’t want to do.”
“Ash, please. I want to move in with you. I’m positive I want to. Please don’t doubt me… or yourself, okay?”
“Okay.” It was hard not to, though, considering we were moving into uncharted territories. This would be a first for both of us and I didn’t want to jeopardize anything by possibly moving too fast for her. “So, do you think the dinner approach will work?”
“Yeah. My dad’s more thoughtful when he’s being fed. And Karen will be there, so she can always give the rational, outside perspective on everything,” Spencer confirmed. I walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist, leaning my chin on her shoulder. “And unless they come up with some legitimate reason, which would never happen because there isn’t one, I’d move in anyway. So I think you’ve got yourself a win-win situation here, Ash.” I smiled and planted a small kiss on her cheek.

I REALLY LOVE THIS STORY SO FAR. PMS
I AM GLAD THAT I WILL BE GETTING BROWNINS AND A MILKSHAKE, LOL!!!!! Anyways, the update was great. I loved the way that Mr. C is worried about Spencer moving in with Ashley because it probably means to him, that his little girl is like getting married and is not going to be around alot, anymore. I just hope that Mr. C will be okay with it and that Ashley and Spencer will be fine too. GREAT CHAPTER AND PMS PLEASE!!!!!
Great post. Aww I think its adorable that Spencers taking care of Ashley. I can understand where Mr. C is coming from, his little girls growing up! lol i just hope he’ll come around and be okay with them living together. Love the story. Please Post More Soon :]
how much do i love this story? so much that imma be late for Orgins in SE Asian theatre, just cause i couldnt handle not reading it…..ps i’m not liking ash’s symptoms. this sounds serious. Keep up the good work chica

Memo to the employees of all A&W restaurants: Please note that from this moment on I no longer have to tolerate your horrendous interpretation of “customer service” when I order a root beer float. All root beer floats will be provided by Kozmic from this moment on. Carry on, people! Here’s the thing Kozmic, while I should be doing actual work tomorrow I’m pretty sure that I’ll be wracking my brain on this chapter. Much like Michael Jackson, something’s not right (any chance that some table clearing sex will make Ashley feel better? Just a thought!). I can’t wait to see what you have in store for these ladies. Hopefully it’s all good…who am I kidding, I do enjoy drama in the world of fanfic. In real life, “I Can’t Go For That” like Hall & Oates. Wow, I embarrass myself more and more with each of my comments…what 26 year old would admit to liking Hall & Oates? Here’s the deal Kozmic, I’ll be leaving for a one week business trip as of Saturday so if I don’t comment between the 14th and 21st, please don’t think that I’ve abandoned ship. I’ll actually be curled up in a corner going through withdrawals from this story. Please hook us up with another chapter soon!
