I Could Never Forget About You – (Chapter: The best move i've ever made)

“I…um…I…God this is really embarrassing.” I stammer, shaking my head. She pushes herself off the door frame and steps out into the rain, standing mere inches away from me. She’s already getting soaked, but it doesn’t bother her.

“C’mon you can tell me.” She pushes lightly. Now I know why I have to do this.

“I don’t know where to start.” Her closeness is shutting me down. I still can’t get the words out.

“Um…well the beginning would be nice.” She jokes around. I push her, harder than I intended to, but still playful.

“I’m kidding…please go on.” She makes a gesture with her hand, indicating what she had just said.

“Okay…this might sound weird…hell I know—“ I’m cut off by her raspy voice.

                    “Spencer…”

“I like you Ash.” Wow, that felt good. That felt really good, I’ve had that on my chest since…forever.

“I like you too Spence.” She smiles.

Okay, she doesn’t understand. I try again.

“No, like…I really, really like you…not just any like…like like.” I emphasize my point, probably using too many likes, but it should get the point across. I watch as her mouth opens and closes, trying to find the right words to say.

“Wow…” Yeah, I so scared her.

“Yeah…and I know it’s really random or whatever, but every time I saw you with Jess…I’d get this weird feeling in my stomach…I couldn’t explain it…hell I still can’t.” I hope she got all that.

She stares at me with a look I can’t really explain for a couple seconds. It’s making me extremely uncomfortable, especially since no words are being said.

“What? What? Why are you staring at me like that?” No emotion on her face changes. “Oh my god, you don’t feel the same way. How could I be so stupid? I mean look at Jess, she was beautiful…and me?” I ramble, continuously hitting my forehead with the palm of my hand. “Why would I even think you could want me? What are you doing? Stop smiling…why are you smiling?”

“Are you done?” She’s making her way towards me, closing the distance agonizingly slow.

                    “I…don’t…know. Should I be… I mean—“

                    “Shut up”

                    “Wha—“

And without any kind of warning she caresses my cheek, and softly brings her lips to mine in the most …Sensual, passionate…intimate kiss I’ve ever experienced. Her tongue grazes my bottom lip asking for entrance, and who am I to deny? I instantly wrap my arms around her neck, bringing her closer until there’s no space visible between us.

She breaks the kiss first. My lips stay parted, savoring the moment. She leans her forehead onto mine as she pushes a loose strand of hair behind my ear.

“It took you long enough.” A smile makes its way onto my face, as she licks her lips. Without hesitation I crash my lips onto hers, pulling her closer, and closer hoping this night will never end.

Ending things with Aiden was the best move I could have possibly made.
