I Didn’t Mean To Fall I Love With You, It Just…Kind Of Happened – (Chapter: Blast From The Past)

Everything was going really good. Madison dumped Glen because she was mad that he didn’t tell her he was going out of town. Clay and Chelsea are now Dating, Kyla and Aiden have spent so much time together that they’ve morphed into “Kyden” so their pretty serious. And Ashley and Spencer are pretty much inseparable. Spencer was in her room getting ready. Glen invited the three couples to Grey for a surprise. Paula walked in and saw Spencer getting dressed up.

    Paula: “Hey Spence.”

Spencer: “Oh, hi mom.” she finished putting on her lipstick and walked over to Paula. “Can you zip me up?” she asked, her back facing Paula waiting for her to zip up the short black dress she was wearing. Paula zipped it and Spencer turned to her.

    Spencer: “Thanks.” she smiled

Paula: “No problem sweetie.” Paula smiled sweetly at her daughter. “So where are you going?”

Spencer: “Glen invited everyone to Grey for some surprise.”

Paula: “Spencer, Glen left about 15 minutes ago.” she said concerned.

Spencer: “Oh, I know. Ashley’s picking me up.” Paula looked worried.

Paula: “Spencer…you spend way too much time with that girl. Why is she never with Aiden?”

Spencer: “I don’t know, maybe he annoys her.”

Paula: “Spencer I…” Paula caught a glimpse of a picture on Spencer’s dresser. She looked at Spencer and walked over to the dresser and picked up the picture. It was a picture of Spencer and Ashley, they weren’t doing anything in the picture, but it was a little too close for comfort for Paula. Spencer was laying her head on Ashley’s shoulder smiling up at her while they looked into each others eyes.

    Paula: “Spencer…what’s this?”

Spencer: “What mom? It’s just a picture.” She gave her a no-big-deal look.

Spencer’s thoughts: “Good thing I put away the pictures of us kissing.” she let out a silent sigh of relief.

Paula: “If you two hang all over each other like this it will make people think you’re…” she sighed “…lesbians” she whispered.

Spencer’s thoughts: “Well, now that I know that “lesbian” is a bad word, I’ll make sure to whisper when I say it.”

Spencer: “Mom, we’re just friends, I’m gonna hang out with her no matter what you or anyone else says. I really don’t care what other people are thinking.” she said in an uninterested tone.

Spencer’s thoughts: “Hmm, did I kind of just lie? Yea, the “just friends” part was the lie. Oh well, it was needed.” she heard the doorbell.

Spencer: “I have to go.” she walked down the steps.

Paula: “But Spencer…” Spencer cut her off.

Spencer: “Bye mom.” she said as she closed the door.

Spencer and Ashley were the first of the three couples to arrive at Grey, Glen was already there. He excitedly walked up to Spencer and Ashley holding some girls hand. The girl was slender, about 5’6", she had grayish green eyes and long brunette hair.

Glen: “Ash, Spence…this is my new girlfriend, Tara.” he said excitedly. Ashley’s eyes widened.

Tara: she smirked. “Yes, I think we’ve met before”

Glen: “Oh, you know Spencer?” he asked confused.

Tara: “No, I’ve met ash before though. We have…history together, right ash?” Spencer and Glen gave Ashley and Tara confused looks.

Ashley: “Yeah…me and Spence are gonna go sit down.” she dragged Spencer to a booth in the back of the club.

    Spencer: “What was that?”

Ashley: “What? Nothing. I don’t know what you’re talking about.” she said rapidly

Spencer: “Well it’s obviously something since your talking fast and were eager to get away.” she sighed heavily “Ashley?”

Ashley: She looked at Spencer then back down at the table “She was…we…she’s my ex girlfriend.” Spencer gave a shocked look, even though she was somewhat expecting this answer, it still surprised her.
