    I’m so telling Ashley!

    "I KNEW IT!"

    "Oh, my God, is it that obvious?!?" I said, starting to get worried that Ashley would notice. I can’t help it. She’s so nice and smart. My brothers are never that nice to my friends, well Clay is. She’s also so nice to Kyla not to mention sweet, funny, beautiful, and just great in so many ways. Get a hold of yourself Spencer! She’s two years older than you AND your best friends sister!

    "Calm down Spencer, Ashley is clueless when it comes to stuff like this…..which is why I’m SOOO telling her!!!"

    "Kyla please don’t!!!"

    "Why not, I could totally hook you guys up!"

    "Uh, no. First of all, she’s two years older than me AND she’s your sister, and that would just be awkward"

    "Whatever. So, do you wanna watch a movie?"

    "Sure, what do you wanna watch?"

    "Umm, I’m thinking A Walk to Remember, classic!"

    "I love that movie!"

    "That’s not the only thing you love." Kyla said nudging me with her shoulder

    "Ha ha! very funny. Put the movie in"

    "Wait there’s two things that we’re missing."

    "What?"

    "Popcorn and Ashley."

    "Ashley?"

    "Yeah, this is her favorite movie, she’s seen it at LEAST 20 times, I can’t just watch it without her."

    "Oh, I see."

    "Hang on, I’ll go get Ash. She’ll put the movie in while I’m making the popcorn."

    "Okay."

    And at that, Kyla went downstairs, and soon after Kyla left, Ashley walked in and over me came that same felling from earlier

    "Are you not feeling well, you’re red again."

    "Oh, no I’m fine I-i-I-it’s just yeah I’m fine."

    "Are you sure?"

    "Yeah, positive."

    "Good."

    "So, Kyla told me that you moved here all the way from Ohio."

    "Yeah my dad got a job out here."

    "That’s cool. What’s it like in Ohio, like what’s snow like?"

    "You’ve never been in snow before?"

    "Nope, born and raised in L.A."

    "Oh, snow is the most beautiful thing in the world, when you first wake up in the morning and you look outside your window and nobody’s stepped in the snow yet, it’s perfect. It seems like the earth is asleep and it hasn’t thrown off it’s blanket yet. It’s just…beautiful"

    "Wow, that’s a really poetic way of putting it. Do you write?"

    "Yeah a little." I said, blushing

    "I bet you’re a great writer."

    "Thanks" I said, gazing into her eyes

    We stood there for what seemed like hours, just staring into each others’ eyes, as if we looked away, we would miss a hidden emotion being revealed in the other, only to be snapped out of our gaze by, of course, Kyla.

    "Hey, I got the popcorn, did you get the movie put in, Ash?"

    "Oh yeah, the movie."

    "Hurry up, slow poke!"

    "If I’m going so slow, why don’t you put it in yourself" Ashley said, heading towards the couch, right before she sat down, she gave me a small smile. Yeah, did I mention I have a HUGE crush on this girl?

    2. has anyone read a fan fic where spencer is fat and ashley works for some fashion place and arthurs constantly trying to hook spencer up with guys, if you do please tell me what it is. its killing me!!

    4. I know this is late in the game given this was posted last year but I just can’t get into the age and grade difference. Ashley is a junior in HS with a car and Spencer is in Jr. high. Plus, was Spencer kept back in school? I’m from Cali and the majority of 14 year olds are in 9th grade, not eighth. Maybe I’m just use to reading novels where there’s more of a back story.
