Lover Awakened
I decided to check in Brittany’s room and thought I would see my gorgeous girlfriend taking forever to figure out an outfit. I wish that was the case and instead imagine my surprise, I found her to be half-naked and straddling some random skank. I cleared my throat and the girls guiltily broke apart from one another. The redheaded skank went to hide behind the sheets while Brittany had the deer in the headlights look. “Baby, I could explain!” Brittany said pathetically. I shook my head in frustration and ran down the stairs. A naked Brittany chased after me desperately calling my name.
I felt tears threatening to fall down my face, but I didn’t want to give her the satisfaction of my heartbreak. There were so many thoughts running through my mind. How could this keep happening to me? What was wrong with me? I seemed to attract losers, it’s almost like I have a beacon for the losers of the world. Why couldn’t I find a girl who would be faithful and actually care about me?
Brittany finally caught onto me and grabbed me by the wrist. “W-we’re over,” I stated in a choked up voice. “I d-don’t ever want to see you again.” I stormed out of the house.
I went into my Porsche and sped off. I didn’t know where I was going, but I just had to get out of there and try to erase the picture of them entwined from my mind. I don’t know how I didn’t get into a car accident driving as upset as I was and speeding all the way.
I rang the doorbell and waited for Spencer to open the door. Spencer opened the door and didn’t seem surprised to see me. Maybe it was since I came to her so many times before this night sadly for the same reason. Spencer observed my disheveled appearance and gave me a sympathetic look. Desperately I clung onto her, my life preserver not wanting to let go to go adrift in my feelings of hopelessness. Thankfully she wrapped her arms around my waist pulling us closer to one another to better comfort me. She was used to this pathetic drama. I honestly didn’t know how she could put up with me. I cried on her shoulder. How could I never be what the girls wanted or needed? It was obvious since they were obviously with someone else that there was something wrong with me. “You were so right,” I began in a sob. I was expecting an "I told you" so or something, but she let me continue my story. “She was exactly like the other girls. I am such an idiot, Spencer.”
Spencer knew exactly what I meant by Brittany being exactly like the other girls. She was my confidant, my hero. I felt like the biggest idiot in the world for still having some faith when it comes to love, why should I have any faith after everything that’s happened. Some people aren’t meant to find love; I guess some people are meant to be alone. Maybe it’s called faith or simply desperation. Maybe I am supposed to be one of those people with the thirty cats in the apartment. “No, you’re not,” responded Spencer reassuringly. “Any girl who would set you free is the idiot not you.” I looked deeply into her blue eyes. She always knew what to say to help me feel better when my heart was so broken. I don’t understand why she is good to me though since I treat her like shit.
Spencer gently kissed me on the lips. I was too surprised to pull away from the kiss, but then again a part of me didn’t want to pull away as crazy as it sounded. The kiss was getting more intense and passionate. There were a lot of sparks that flew while we kissed. I felt like I was in the middle of the 4th of July fireworks. I was afraid making out with Spencer might’ve turned out into something more so I pulled away from the kiss although it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.
Spencer was talking about taking back the kiss, which was crazy since you couldn’t do that. From someone who knows first hand, you couldn’t do that as much as you wanted to or tried to. I needed to leave except Spencer wouldn’t let me. She would usually let me do whatever I wanted, but it was different tonight. Who was I kidding? Everything was different tonight. I needed to provoke a fight before we would have the dreaded talk. It’s not every day you make out with a girl you consider as a sister. I was eventually successful, but not before I pushed Spencer to the ground and left her house.
