    Love’s Game…Wanna Play? – (Chapter: Worth Ashley’s while (4)

As soon as our heroes were safely inside Ashley’s room with the door closed, Ashley had Spencer’s shirt off with ease. Pushing her against the wall Ashley ran her hands from Spencer’s lower thigh to her hips, dragging her skirt as she went. Spencer moaned a bit at the sensation of Ashley nails making a trail up her legs. “oh, god, Ash.” Ashley thought she had done something wrong or went too far and stopped in her tracks.

“What’s wrong Spencer?” Ashley had a worried look on her face and she looks into Spencer’s blue orbs. “ why’d you stop?” Spencer asked, pouting. “I thought I was going too fast.” Ashley said, putting her hand on Spencer’s cheek, gently caressing it. “Ashley, I want you, right now, more than I ever have with anyone. Ashley smiled at the openness of Spencer’s feelings. “I love you, Spencer Carlin.” She said with full anticipation that Spencer would say it back to her. “I lo-” Ashley’s phone rings. ‘SHIT!’ Ashley thought. ‘She was gunna say it back. Fuck whoever’s on my phone and their bad ass timing!’ “hello?” Ashley answers, after seeing it was an unknown caller. A familiar voice filled Ashley’s ear, as well as the face in her mind. Ashley expression showed that something was wrong. “What’s the matter, Ash? Who is that?” Spencer started to get worried. Ashley held up her index finger, motioning Spencer to hold on. “Ashley, I miss you.” The voice on the other end of the line said. Ashley was speechless so the voice kept going. “I wanna see you… alone. I know you’re involved with Spencer now and whatever, but I still love you, Ash.” I tear streaked down Ashley’s cheek, she tried to wipe it away quickly, but Spencer saw it before she had the chance. “Ashley, who is that? What’s wrong.” Spencer said, now getting frustrated. ‘now she calls me, after all this time. She calls me when I’m finally happy with Spencer. I was so sad for so long, all because of her. She made a fool of me and now she wants me back?’ “Maddie, why now, Why, after all this time?” Ashley said into the phone trying to understand what was being said to her. “I’m sorry, Ashley. I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to realize that I made a mistake. I didn’t want to believe what was being said about me, I couldn’t. I’m not as brave as you, Ashley, I cant just come out and say ‘I like girls’ like it’s no big thing. It is, Ashley. You know that if I came out and said that, I’d get crucified for it.” Ashley got pissed, “So what the hell makes now any different? What makes you call me now? You had your chance, you fucked me over. You left me in the lion’s den. You even turned into one of those lions!” With that, Ashley slammed her phone shut and threw it across the room against the wall, where it shattered apart, sprawling the battery a few feet away from the main piece. Ashley had tears flowing down her face too fast for her to wipe them away. “Ashley, what’s up? Why the heck did you throw your phone?” Spencer still wasn’t one for cursing. “who was that on the phone? Maddie, who’s that? Ashley, tell me!” Ashley looked serious at Spencer and said in a monotone, “Madison.” She put her head down and didn’t look to see Spencer’s reaction. “Madison?!?! You went out with Madison?” Spencer was practically yelling. “Spencer, it was a long time ago. She’s out of my life now. Just calm down.” Ashley said keeping her cool and not changing her tone. “Why didn’t you tell me? All those conversations we had, you couldn’t tell me? I mean, even now that we’re together you didn’t tell me. If she hates you, what’d she call you for, what’d she say?” She then saw what her tone was doing to Ashley so she softened it, “Ash, I’m sorry, I just wasn’t ready for that. I mean, talk about blind sided. Why does she act so mean to you and attack your sexuality all the time? I mean if she dated you then she has to like girls too, right?” She nudged Ashley’s chin with her hand so she was looking eye to eye. “She wasn’t ready to be gay. She wasn’t ready for the ridicule and all the bullshit that I’ve learned to laugh off. She had a rep that she couldn’t mess up. She couldn’t be with me because she was afraid, not that I’d hurt her, but of what other people would think. I moved on, not onto one person but many.” Ashley forced her head down again. Brushed Spencer’s hand off. Ashley was definitely not proud of what she had done in the past and she really didn’t like talking to Spencer about it. She was ashamed at how she acted before she met the innocent blonde that was now hers. “Ashley, I know your past is bad, but that’s not you anymore. I know that. You don’t have to worry about what happened in the past, I’d just like to know about it. So you dated Madison, queen cheer bitch, it’s in the past. You’re with me now and nothing is going to change that.” Ashley smiled at Spencer and leaned into her ear and said “I still love you to death, Spencer Carlin.” Spencer laughs and say let’s try this again. I lov-” Spencer’s cell phone rang this time. “Okay, this is getting ridiculous!” Spencer said, walking over to her phone that had fallen out of her pocket onto the floor, near the door. She looked on the caller ID and saw who it was.
