    Author Notes:

    This is the way it should have ended.  No mention of Annabelle’s birthday or age were made in the movie & assuming most people have not read the script where it said she would be 18 in a month we can assume it’s possible she turned 18 the night of the dance.

    This is an addendum to the final chapter – no changes are being made to the previous portions of the final chapter.

    Annabelle stands in Simone’s room holding the photos of herself that Simone had taken at the beach & knowing that she & Simone are trully in love & meant to be together.  She looks around the room until she finds Simone’s car keys.  She goes to her room, packs her clothes, grabs her guitar case & notebook and walks to the parking lot where she gets into Simone’s car.  She drives to the police station and parks the car & enters while the police are questioning Simone.

     Annabelle: " Why are you questioning her?  She hasn’t done anything wrong."  She pulls her drivers’ license out of her pocket showing that yesterday was her 18th birthday  & that while it is possibly wrong for a teacher & student to have sex she was legally old enough to make that decision.  The police are forced to release Simone since she has done nothing legally wrong.  Simone knows she has lost her job at the school but nothing matters more than knowing she & Annabelle can now be together. 

    Simone: "I love you, Annabelle."  "Let’s go home."  and they leave the police station, get in to the car & drive toward Simone’s beach house.

    Annabelle: "See, I told you ‘it’ll be all right’. "  "Thanks for making this my best birthday, ever."  "I love you, Simone, with all my heart."
