“Actually it’s only one thought really,” admitted Spencer. “It’s a very big thought that I’m still processing as we speak. I’m just thinking that this is really happening. I’m still processing the fact that you kissed me not once, but twice so far this morning.”

“Why?” Ashley questioned with curiosity. “It really boggles your mind or something?”

“You can say that since it feels like a dream,” responded Spencer. “The best dream I’ve ever had. It’s almost feels like it’s too good to be true.”

“If it is a dream, then I don’t ever want to wake up from it,” Ashley added with a smile.

“Really?” asked Spencer.

“Really,” Ashley answered. “I know that this is not a dream though.”

“How do you know that it isn’t?” asked Spencer with curiosity.

“The dream Spencer is nothing compared to you,” Ashley answered with a smile. “No girl can ever compare to you. Ashley kissed Spencer on her nose.

“I didn’t know you dream about me,” said a surprised Spencer.

“Well, you learn something new every day, Spence,” Ashley replied.

“Yes, you do,” stated Spencer. “So I’m definitely not the rebound, Ashley?”

“No, not at all,” Ashley responded.

“Good, since I’ve waited a long time for you, Ashley Davies,” stated Spencer with a smile. Ashley returned the smile. “I finally get to have you all to myself.”

“Good things come to those who wait,” Ashley observed.

“I’ve always been so in love with you, Ashley,” began Spencer. “I just didn’t think that I would ever have a chance with you though since there was always seemed to be something getting in the way.”

“I’m in love with you, too,” responded Ashley. “I was looking, but I really wasn’t seeing what was right in front of me the whole time. Now I can see clearly though. I wish I c-could’ve realized this sooner though.” A smile formed on Ashley’s lips. “Not only do I feel sparks, but I feel butterflies in my stomach. I never got those butterflies before with anyone else before and the truth is that I never want them to go away. You are the one I want to be with. It’s been you all along. It’s always been you, Spencer.” A smile formed on Spencer’s lips.

“You’re not the only one who has the butterflies,” Spencer pointed out with a smile. “I have butterflies in my stomach, too. You have no idea how long I wanted you to say that I was the one for you, how long I needed to hear it.”

“Is it too late for you to hear it now?” asked Ashley with concern.

“Nope,” Spencer answered.

“Good,” said Ashley. “So I take it that you forgot you were going to say to me before I kissed you since you haven’t brought it up again?” Ashley caressed Spencer’s cheek.

“Yep, I uh forgot w-what I was going to say to you,” Spencer admitted with a chuckle. “I’m such a blonde.” Ashley chuckled. “Seriously, when I felt your lips on mine, it was like nothing else mattered in this world. All that mattered was you.”

“I’m glad that I can be of help,” responded Ashley. “I don’t want you to ever think that way about yourself ever. I helped you get that nonsense of you winding up alone and me finding someone who wasn’t you out of your head. My mission is accomplished. For the record, you’re never going to be alone. You have me and I’m not going anywhere. All that matter is you as well.”

“I wouldn’t want you to go anywhere to begin with,” Spencer pointed out. “I want you to always stay with me.”

“Yes, ma’am,” said Ashley. “My heart belongs to you and no one else.”

“Likewise,” Spencer agreed. The bell rang.

“We have class,” began Ashley. A frown appeared on Ashley’s lips.

“I’ll walk you,” Spencer offered. “Don’t worry. We’ll see each other by our third class.”

“Coolness,” stated Ashley. “True even though I will already miss you.” Spencer held out her hand and Ashley took it.
