Chapter Six

Ashley’s Story

     What I had set up for our date was a simple candle lit dinner under the pier. A table for two, with rose petals scattered on the table. I was going for the romantic Ashley tonight. We ate and talked and laughed, and just had a nice time together. We finished eating and I reached in my pocket and pulled out a note I wrote for her during the day.

     "I wrote this for you Spence." I said as I handed it to her. She took it with a big smile and began to open it.

     Spencer,

       This summer has been completely amazing, and it’s all because of you. When I met you for the first time, I knew you were going to change my life forever. I found love this summer with you, when I wasn’t even looking for it. But I’m so glad you came my way and showed me what love is.

       You’re the only person who’s ever held me and showed me that you care about me. I never believed in soul mates, but you’re making me think twice. I think you and I were meant to be together. I couldn’t imagine not meeting you now and ending up like this. I’m so inlove that it’s scary.

       I’ve never been inlove before, but if it were to be with anyone, I’m lucky it was with you. You’re the most caring and sweet person that sometimes I feel like I don’t deserve you. You don’t know it, but you’ve changed me into a better person now and I can’t thank you enough Spencer. I love you so much, you’ve made this summer unforgettable. No matter what, I’m always going to love you. No matter how far away you are, I’ll love you. You will always have your place in my heart that you have marked to stay forever. No one will change that. My heart is yours. Please remember that Spencer. You’re the only one for me.

     I watched her as she folded the note back up slowly and bit her bottom lip. She looked up at me and her eyes were filled with tears just waiting to fall.
