Nowheresville – (Chapter: Chapter 29: Sands of Time Part 4)

    Spencer’s POV
Previously: "I don’t want to turn into my mother.” she whispered as we sped down the street.
"Ash, why are we at a motorcycle shop?" I ask deciding not to bring up the thing about her mom. She says nothing taking me to the door. On the left wall are motorcycles and on the right is almost anything you can imagine in leather or highlighter orange. It smells like a dirty garage.
"Yo! Crash, where’s my bike?" Ash screams. I jump taking her hand. I know you’re thinking ‘Why is she scared?’ but I’ve changed, I don’t have anymore blind courage. A guy who looks like a tall version of Lex Luther comes out of a back room.
"Hey hottie! What’s up with Baby-Blue?" he asks giving Ash a one armed greasy hug.
"This is her, man. Spencer this is Cory Bryant AKA: Crash. He helped build my bike." she says introducing us. He nods in my direction and I smile weakly. Wait! Did she say bike?
"Babe, did you say bike?" I ask glaring at my soon-to-be-dead girlfriend.
"Yea…um…surprise? C’mon babe, I thought you’d be on board with me. At least take a look at it, then if you still don’t want me to have it I’ll cancel the deal." she says pleadingly.
"Dude, you’re so pussy whipped!" Crash says. He looks us up and down.
"Ew. Ok, stop imagining it and show us the bike." I say moving closer to Ash.
"Anything for you Baby-blue." he says taking us through a side door. We end up in a big oil stained garage. He pulls a white sheet off a pile of what I thought was junk.
"Tada!" he exclaims as if he were unveiling a masterpiece. Ashley shrieks and runs over to it. Frankly all I see is a big black and chrome bike, nothing special.
"Wow, man, Crash this is so hot!"
"She gets 80mpg, up to 250mph, LED headlights chrome details, tempur pedic seat cushion. Everything you wanted." Crash says.
"Did you put that nitrogen booster in?" Ash asks mischievously. He nods and shows her a lime green switchy lever thing on the left handle bar.
"C’mon Baby-blue don’t be scared." Crash says beckoning me to the bike. Ash runs her hands over it and straddles it grinning maniacally. I wish she could see herself right now. I imagine the wind blowing through her hair, sun shining down on her face. Then I walk over and stand next to her. She looks so happy!
"You won’t die if you sit on it, ya know." she says scooting up for me. I get on awkwardly almost kicking her in the head. When Crash stops laughing he stares at us jaw agape.
"What?" I say feeling very out of my element. Ash glares at him.
"Woah… one chick on a bike, hot but two chicks on a bike, scorching hot." he gets out his phone to take a picture but I short circuit it. Ash half turns to me. I can see the want in her eyes.
"So… Spence what do you say?" I look away from her and my stomach churns.
"I don’t know, I don’t want you to get hurt." I say scared.
"Please, I already have my license and all of my practice hours." she says lifting her leg over my head so she can face me. That was so hot! I guess 3 years of gymnastics does pay off.
"Ash…I…um..I-i…guess you having this thing…wouldn’t…exactly be that…terrible." I mumble. She takes my hand and looks me in the eye.
    "Is that a yes?"
    "Yes."
"Oh Spencer! You’re the best!" she exclaims pulling me in for a deep hot kiss, right there on the motorcycle in the garage with Crash watching. I pull away embarrassed. Ash gets up and pushes the bike past Crash, who’s drooling, into the lobby with me on it. She picks out 2 leather jackets, 2 pairs of boots and 2 helmets before Crash re-joins us. She hands him her card and he charges everything to it. She pushes the bike outside and tells me to put my boots and helmet on as she does the same. We put our jackets on even though it’s September and noon. She jumps on the bike.
"Where do you want to eat?" She asks patting the seat.
"I don’t know, you can pick. I just have one request: getting there in one piece" She laughs and guns the throttle. I squeal holding her tight around the waist. We speed through the neighborhood squeezing between cars like the Knight Bus. My heart thumps wildly and I think I might be going into cardiac arrest.
"Whoo! Isn’t this great babe?" Ash screams turning onto the highway. Highway! Oh no! I shut my eyes and press myself against her. When I peek them open again we’re right next to a bus. Ash inches us a little closer and touches the bus.
    "Ashley! Drive with two hands!"
