Spencer and Ashley walked down the hall back to Miss Crump’s class Only to find that the door to the class was shut and the lights were off.

“ Great” Ashley said tossing up her right hand in frustration and trying to jiggle the locked door handle with the other.

Ashley peered inside, threw the tiny glass square hole in the class room door.

“ She‘s not in there” Ashley said looking in.

“look” Ashley said pointing to something in the class and looking at Spencer “ There’s my schedule” Ashley was aggravated

“She Probably did it on purpose“ Ashley said not thinking

Spencer scrunch up her face like she was trying to see threw the sun

“Why would she do that?” She said brushing past Ashley and tugging on the locked door handle as Ashley had done.

Ashley looked at the back of Spencer head

“uh……“ Spencer turned back around to look at Ashley “She probably wouldn‘t…..I just need my schedule.” Ashley said rather quickly.

“ well” Spencer said in defeat “ will have to go to the front office”

“ yeah. That’s just great. I’ll be late again for another class” Ashley said double checking her purse to make sure she didn’t have a copy.

“ well…Look at the bright side” Spencer said.

Ashley raised her eye brawls while looking at the pretty girl and Stopped fiddling with her purse.

“ at least you don’t love school…” Spencer said feeling slightly stupid.

Ashley gave her head a slight nod and began to grin at the girl

Spencer nodded her head quickly

“ yeah. I also promise to not make anymore jokes”. She said with the corner of her mouth turning up in a grin feeling stupid.

Ashley laughed

“ no.. it’s ok. Your cute” Ashley said smiling.

Spencer looked at Ashley smiling.

“ I…..mean the jokes” Ashley quickly responded looking at the girl “ the jokes are cute” Ashley said shrugging her shoulders trying to create emphasis on the word jokes.

“ right” Spencer said with her brawl raised. In a teasing voice

Ashley quickly looked around. Anywhere but at Spencer.

She adjusted her purse and quickly thought how to get out of this awkward position.
