When the nurse didn’t finish her sentence, Kyla finishes it for her when she smirks, “A bitch?”
The nurse just smiles a little and nods her head. Well, I wasn’t happy to hear that at all. I was very comfortable and happy just the way I was. Damn, rules. But I don’t want her to get into any sort of trouble so I whisper, “How long do we got?”
“It’s 6:30 am now so I’d say about 15 minutes. The shift starts at 7 am but they start coming in around 6:45 so that we can tell them what’s been going on with our patients.” The nurse whispers
“Thanks, Nurse…ummm…” I whisper hoping she’ll fill in the blank. I’d really like to know her name. She seems to be very nice and sweet
“Just call me Hailey. I got to go get things ready for the change of shift but I’ll come back to check on you before I leave.” Hailey smiles as she turns to leave.
“Thanks for everything and sorry about earlier.” Kyla softly says at her now retreating form.
Hailey just smiles over her shoulder and says, “It’s okay, don’t worry about it. I’ll see you guys later.”
With that she was gone. Kyla then turns to me and gives me her, “Now what?”, look. I just sigh and look at Spencer. She looks so peaceful, so beautiful. I really don’t want to wake her but I have no choice. So I gently cup her cheek and whisper, “Babe, you have to wake up.”
No response. I guess she really was exhausted. My poor, baby. I try again and whisper as I’m caressing her cheek with my thumb, “Spencer, wake up. Babe, you have to wake up.”
I think she heard that because she mumbles as she hugs me closer, “Sleepy time.”
I softly chuckle and say a little louder, “No it’s time to wake up, babe. Come on wake up.”
Kyla calls out, “I can always go get a cup of water. That should do the trick.”
I quickly turn to glare at her and then say to Spencer, “Wakey, wakey.”
Well, that seemed to do the trick because she slowly opens those gorgeous baby blues of hers. I can see in them her total exhaustion. I got to get her out of here. She needs to go home and sleep. Hell, she needs to go eat something too. I’d hate myself if she got sick because of me. She snaps me out of my thoughts when she murmurs, “What time is it?”

Aiden’s gone, would it be heartless of me to say I’m relieved and somewhat happy about that? I hope Aiden’s mom doesn’t try to come back for Ash, but she probably will since she seems to be crazy like her son. The ending was so sweet, and I love that movie Imagine You & Me. Back to the topic, I hope Ash doesn’t become depressed over Aiden’s death, that’d be a whole nother problem and Spashley doesn’t need anymore problems. But…problems equal entertainment, so do what you will, it’s your story and I’m loving it. As usual, another amazing update. Continue with the great work, PMASAP!!!!!!!!!
