    Past Revisited – (Chapter: 15-Seduction)

I ran my hand through her hair. She was still fast asleep. Her left hand was on her pillow by her face, revealing the diamond that I still had not seen her take off. She looked so cute when she slept. I ran my hand through her hair once more. This time she stirred, pulling the blankets in closer to her, still fast asleep. I leaned over and kissed her ear, whispering, “Come back to me Spence.”

Her hand creeped it’s way to my cheek, forcing me to pull back and look at her, “Hey.” I said as a sheepish smile grew.

Her voice was soft and tender, “Hi.”o9

    “Sleep good?”

She tucked a strand of hair behind my hair, “With you, always.”

I planted a sweet kiss on her lips, “I’m glad.”

She nestled her head into my shoulder, “So, what does today hold for Miss Davies?”

“I don’t know. I didn’t really have anything planned for today. Tomorrow I’m going into the studio to record so today is free.” I kissed her forehead, “Got anything in mind?”

“Well…we do have a wedding to plan.”

All of the work that was ahead of us began to run through my mind, “Ugh…yeah we do.”

Spencer sat up, giving me a look of confusion, “Ash, are you…ya know…having second thoughts?”

I sat up to look her directly in the eyes, “God Spencer, no. I want nothing more than to marry you. But thinking about this album that I’m about to release and then planning our wedding. It all jumbles in my brain and my circuits short out.”

Spencer looked away, trying to comprehend what I just said, “I’m sorry that I asked. I just…it scares me.”

    “Spence, what scares you?”

She looked down, “You know the episode of The L Word when Carmen and Shane are supposed to get married? They go through this whole thing and then it comes down to the moment when Carmen’s standing at the altar in her beautiful white wedding gown and Shane doesn’t even show up. I just…I don’t want that to happen to us.”

“Honey, that’s just a show. And I’m nothing like Shane. I love you, Spence. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to go to bed every night and wake up every morning holding you in my arms,” I took her hand with my own, lacing our fingers together, “I want to grown old with you Spencer Carlin.” I gave her a reassuring kiss to clear her confusion.
