Spencer hasnt seen Ashley since lunch. She was very worried but figured she would talk to the girl on their way home. Ashley always gave Spencer a ride home.

Spencer was on her way to Ashley’s usual parking spot. But, today, when she got there the convertible wasnt there. Spencer thought something happened to her best friend and began to freak out. She started pacing back and forth, horribly scenories running through her mind due to overactive imagination and one to many horror movies.

‘hey spence-ash’
‘omg, where r u?’
‘i had 2 make sure aid didnt c me give u a ride home. long story. explain later.’
‘ok…’
‘ill be there in a few’

Spencer continued to pace while waiting for Ashley

Something’s up with Aiden and Ashley. Something happened last night. I’m going to find out. Whatever happened has Ashley scared shitless. Which is scaring me. He better’ve not hurt her. I swear…

Spencer’s thoughts were interupted when Ashley honked her horn. Spencer jumped in the car and they drove off.

   "Were you off in your own little world?"
   "Yeah, just a bit"
   "Haha"
   "Ashley?"
   "What?"
   "Explain"
   "Explain what?" Ashley tried to play dumb
   "Everything. Starting with what happened last night."
   "look…" Ashley sighed "Right now, all  I’m going to tell you is that Aiden doesn’t want me to hang out with you"
   "I know that. So what are you going to do?"
   "He can’t tell me who I can or cannot hang with."
   "Then why’d you have to make sure he didn’t see you take me home?"
   "Because he gets mad easily"
   "And you don’t wanna get yelled at?"
   "Yeah, uh, something like that."
   "Ok, so are you still coming for dinner?"
   "yeah, if you don’t mind I’ll just stay from now until then."
   "Course not."

The girls made it to the Carlin’s house and just hung out in Spencer’s room. They wlaked but it wasn’t about anything serious. After a few hours they were called down for supper. Ashley, Spencer, Clay, Glen, Arthur, and Paula all made small talk. Paula kept saying how great it was for Ashley to be over for supper again. Through out dinner Ashley noticed Glen giving her a sad and knowing look. But she didn’t know how to interpret it.

   "Spence" Ashley whispered as she nudged the blonde with her elbo. "Spencer, your brother keeps giving me a weird look." Spencer looked up and noticed Glen’s unusual demeanor.
   "I’ll ask him about it tonight."

The girls were upstairs again just relaxing and listening to music. But they got bored and decided to head downstairs and watch T.V. When they got down there Glen was playing video games. He asked the girls to join him. Ashley declined but Spencer agreed to it. Ashley just sat there and watched the brother and sister get very very into the game. Suddenly her phone rang. It was Aiden. Oh shit.

(on the fone)

   "Hello"
   "Ashley, where the hell are you?!?"
   "Aiden, I just went to the beach, that’s all" She stuttered.
   "You’re at Spencer’s aren’t you??
   "I, Uh…"
   "That’s what I thought."
   "Look, I can explain, I swear."
   "I told you to stay away from her. Why don’t you listen to me? Is it that hard? Get over here now!" And with that he hung up the phone. Ashley closed her phone and mumbled something about doing laundry and left the Carlin household.
   "What the hell??" Spencer said confused as ever. Glen just stared at the door for a few more seconds.
   "We gotta go" He stood up and booked it towards the door.
   "What?" Spencer stood up
   "Something bad is going to happen" Spencer looked at him like he was crazy. "I’ll explain on the way."
