So Close, Yet So Far Away. – (Chapter: Lets Talk Now.)

Leaning up against my car, I scan the parking lot for none other than Spencer Carlin. My eyes wander over the many bodys of King High students before I see my sister. Where Kyla is, Spencer isn’t to far ahead. Ahhh got’cha. I watch her carefully, taking in every detail. Her whipping hair, that’s being blow every where by the wind. Her figure gliding effortlessly over the pavement. Her relaxed features that always manage to take my breath away.

"Hey Ash, ready to go?" I tear my eyes away from Spencer, now looking at Madison.

"Yeah." We quitely hop in my Porshe and start on our way home.

"You still comming to my house tommorow?" She asked breaking the silence.

    "You bet."

"Good. ‘Cause well… we.. we need to talk."

"Talk?" She’s been acting weird lately. I wonder what this is about.

    "Yeah."

"Lets talk now." I pull into her drive way and turn the car off.

"No! I mean, uh, I’d rather wait until Saturday."

"Um, ok. What’s so special that it has to wait until then? Come on. You can tell me anything." I smile reassuringly.

"I know that, but I’d be so greatful if you could be patient until then. I promise it will worth it." She blush. Ok, I’m so confused.

Knitting my eyebrows in confusion, I figure I could just wait. "Alright then. I’ll see you tommorw morning."

"Yeah, bye." Madison glances at me one last time and exits the car.

    "Bye."

I walk into first period, and quickly take my seat. Spencer sits right behind me, so I try and avoid eye contact. Yesterday she noticed I was watching her, all I think about is ‘what if she finds out.’ Don’t get me wrong I want her to know and for us to be together or something. I just want it to happen in a good way. Like, a special way, ya know. I don’t want her to be like ‘Oh my god, you like me! Oh god!’ No. If that happens I’d have a shit fit. The tardy bell has just rung and Mr. Muller is about it start, but some one knocks at the door. He stepps over and opens it. In comes an familiar girl. Hey, I think she went to my middle school. She hands him her schedule and he begins to speak.

"Ok every one, this is Brittney Andrews. She is going to be in our homeroom." A few hi’s come from around the room.

    "Hey, guys." She replies.

"You can take a seat over there by Chelsea, and we will get started." Brittney did as she was told and he began class.

From behind me I hear someone whisper my name. It’s her.

    "Yeah?"

"Isn’t that Brittney from our middle school."

"Yup." I nod my head and so does she. Turning back around, I take a deep breath. Now, on with the day.
