South of Somewhere – (Chapter: Chapter Nine- Good Morning)

As usual Ashley was the first to wake up, her eyelids heavy as she yawned, momentarily wondering why on earth she wasn’t wearing any clothing. It was then she rolled over to find Spencer sound asleep beside her and looking as happy as ever. Apparently at some point in the night they had migrated to her bed, but she honestly couldn’t remember doing so.

Reaching onto the floor she fumbled around for some clothes, finding a tank top and a pair of underwear. Pulling the clothing on she silently padded out of the room, moving into the kitchen to pour herself a cup of coffee. When she arrived back in the bedroom she chuckled lightly, finding Spencer still out like a light. She always slept so much more soundly than she did. Deciding a bed with Spencer in it was far too tempting to resist she then slipped back into the bed, just in time to watch Spencer’s eyes flutter open.

“Good Morning.” Ashley greeted, smiling as she watched with some fascination as the expression on Spencers face switched from groggy confusion to utter happiness. “Good morning.” She replied, her lips lifting to reveal her own smile as she settled into her pillow, “What time is it?” She inquired, knowing the clock was behind her head but not wanting to exert the energy required to lift her head off the pillow and look. “Ummm…” Ashley lazily lifted her head to look at the clock, squinting as she focused her vision, “10.”

Spencer gave a nod before the reality hit her, “Crap, my mom has probably called the police by now.” She laughed a bit, leaning forward to kiss Ashley’s forehead before she sat up, pulling on her clothes quickly before she walked towards the couch to go search for her phone. After sifting around the cushions for a bit she found it, flipping it open to find she had 8 missed calls, all from home, “Shit…” She muttered, dialing her house and holding the phone to her ear as she headed back towards Ashely’s bedroom, smiling as she watched her dress, “Hey mom… Yeah I know….I’m sorry I-…I know you worry….I just fell asleep in their couch….Mmhm… I am /fine/ Mom… Really… I will be home in a few… Yes ma’am… No that wasn’t sarcastic…Love you too….Bye.”
