Stormy Horizons – (Chapter: Seeing is more than believing, Pt. 2)

Ch. 4- Seeing Is More Than Believing, Pt. 2

I woke up to a combination of sounds. One of the sounds were several people arguing quietly ever what sounded like what to do with me. The other sound was the ocean waves crashing into the each. The crashing wasn’t silent either. I could hear the waves becoming increasingly violent, matched by a stronger breeze and heavily overcast clouds. It was obvious a storm was brewing. Propping myself up on my elbows, I squinted my eyes to see what was going on. I was no longer leaning on Ashley’s shoulder, instilling an emptiness in me. Where could she have gone, it only could’ve been an hour tops since I fell asleep. I thought to myself. No one had noticed that I had awoken yet, so I decided to use this to my advantage. It looked like Glen, Ashley, and that other boy who I think was called Aiden were talking. “I don’t care if your in a dream, movie, or porn film; It’s not my fault you ran off with my sister!” I heard my brother yell, infuriated. He can be such a mom sometimes.

“Hey, don’t yell at her, you ass!” It was that Aiden kid. He was waving his fists and flailing wildly. I didn’t want a fight, so it was time to make my move.

“Hey, what’s up” I asked quietly, acting like I had just woken up.

“She’s awake,” my brother said, pointing out the obvious.

Finally Ashley spoke up, “C’mon Spencer let’s go we don’t need them”

“WHAT!” Aiden and Glen yelled simultaneously.

“Don’t worry,” Ashley responded to his concern, then she added with an awkward smile, “She’ll be home by 9 tonight.”

“I seriously wouldn’t care,” Glen thought out load, “but what the hell am I supposed to tell the fokes? O yea, Spencer went out with the girl of her dreams that she met on line.”

“Use your imagination” I yelled at him as Ashley began pulling me towards the car.

    At the house

“You live here?” I asked, bewildered. Her house was a mansion. It looked like it had a pool, the works.

“Sure do…” a few moments passed after she shut down the car. “Well are ya gonna come inside or gawk at my house?”

    “Oh, sorry. Let’s go in.”

The inside of her house was even more amazing. “So what do you want to do. We can swim, watch a movie, or-”

“Talk about what the hell is up with the dream?” I interrupted. I had never been a fan of subtlety. Besides, it was a question that needed to be addressed.

“What’s there to talk about?” Her statement was supposed to close the matter, but I knew exactly how to respond.

“Are you gay?” I asked, my lack of subtlety shining through.

“Not that I would use a label, but yes I do like you?”

    “What was that?”

“I like girls…” she tried to change what had slipped out of her mouth, but it was easily caught. I was very keen when it came to things like this.

“Sure…” I responded to the comment about me. She likes me?! I thought with mixed feelings. On one hand, she is nice, beautiful, amazing ass; on the other hand, my parents never knew I was gay. Sure my brothers knew about it, but I had kept it a secret from my family for the most part. Once they had caught on for a bit, but then I made it look like I was straight by dating a guy. After that they had no more questions. “well, I feel the same way.” If she caught the look I gave her she would see that I meant it as though I like her instead of girls in general. Using my uncanny ability to read expressions, her baffled look showed me she knew exactly what I meant. Yes, this would be fun to play with her mind. Very fun…

    3. Haha I love that Spence thinks it’s going to be fun to play with her mind a bit. And I’m glad my comment helped save her from a horrid, gruesome death. But, sweetie… I’m definately a girl, not a boy haha. As for my story, you’ll just have to read it when I get my lazy ass to write it haha. But, I am flattered you care about my opinion and you better post more soon! I can’t wait to find out what happens next.
