Super duper crime fighting good two shoes and her badass master criminal. – (Chapter: Chapter one)
I am lying wide awake in my bed staring at my ceiling. I am so not ready for this; this has to be the most challenging mission of my life. I spring out of bed after having the shit scared out of me. Stupid alarm. I’m supposed to be one kick ass spy and the sound of my alarm has me frightened. Here goes another morning, another day in the life of Ashley Davies.
I walk into my bathroom; I start brushing my teeth. I can’t help but just stare blankly into the mirror. How’d I get here? Oh yeah, a super secret test in my SAT’s got me here. It’s not like I don’t like living in this house. My mother could never afford much after my father left. After we found out my father died in a car accident, my half-sister got shoved into my life.
Kyla isn’t the brightest girl, but I am happy to have her here with me. Speak of the devil.
“Ash, have you seen my gun?”
“No, check in the refrigerator. You left it there last time.”
“That was an accident.”
“Kyla, I went to get some yogurt and found a revolver, and next time you come looking for your gun, knock.”
Kyla stuck her tongue out at me; I swear she’s 12. After changing into my uniform, I walk out of my bedroom and into the kitchen. Damn, Madison and Chelsea are fighting again. What’s it about this time? I don’t even want to know. You see, Madison has been my best friend since the start of this crazy thing. Well, after she had threatened me over a bed. Madison Duarte is psychotic, but she is always the captain of our squad. She came from a rich home, and she was the popular girl at her old high school. She was the head cheerleader. Although she still wears a short skirt, she now carries a gun and knows how to kill a man with a toothpick.
To sum up Chelsea in one sentence, she is a chain smoking Dutch woman who goes through men as I go through lip gloss. What? I like my lips to be glossy.
Anyway back to what I was saying, I am in this spy version of the real world because there is a secret test in the SAT’s. This test tests your skills, and if you score high enough you get recruited into the organization called DEBS. Supposedly, I got the perfect score. I have no idea how that happened, but I’m the “perfect spy.” Blah
