Symptoms of Love – (Chapter: 10)
It was Saturday. The day had started lazy for Ashley. From a night of constant crying over Spencer, she crawled out of bed as her stomach begged her to eat something, anything. Walking to the kitchen felt like a journey for miles.
“Ashley, are you okay?” Christine asked handing Ashley some coffee.
“No, not really.”
“Wanna talk about it?”
“No. I have just given up on love. There’s nothing more to say about it,” taking a sip.
“Okay, what happened?” Christine asked.
“Mom I said I didn’t want to talk about it!” Ashley slammed down the cup of coffee she was drinking and went back to her room. She’d never been this angry about a girl before. She’d given up food and coffee. What was Spencer doing to her? She had to get it back together she thought. Getting it back together would be easy if she didn’t miss Spencer so much. I’m going out tonight! Forget Spencer!

With knowing so little about Ashley’s background, relationships, and other friends, finding a way for Ashley to forgive her was certain going to be challenging. It was a long shot. Chelsea had a great idea, yet Spencer still was nervous. So many things about this could go wrong. Too many people had to be involved. Maybe she would find out and just hate her rest of her life? This was not going to be easy. Chelsea had already reassured her on the phone several times. Spencer tried to calm her nerves as the process began.

“Hey Aiden,” Ashley responded when answering the phone.
“Ash, I just called to see how you were holding up?” Aiden said hearing the sadness in her voice.
Ashley tried to cover up how she sounded. She didn’t want anyone to know how much she was hurting, “I’m fine. Ready to start over…. I guess”
“Well, I know what would cheer you up.”
“What’s that Aiden and don’t say Spencer!” the brunette snapped.
“Calm down girl. Would you let it be a surprise? I’m going to come pick you up”
“Okay…but give me like an hour to get ready. You so don’t want to see me right now.” Ashley laughed hanging up the phone. She lay back on her bed hoping for the best. Her thoughts ran back to the day with Spencer.
