Symptoms of Love – (Chapter: 14)
Paula kept glancing at Spencer while driving back home.
“Spencer I can’t believe this! Look at you. You look like you’ve been …..”
“Fucking all night….”
Paula jerked around almost swerving the car off the road, “Spencer don’t you use that language with me! I am still your mother. I deserve some respect. Why are you so angry anyway?”
“I’m angry because you guys stormed over to Ashley’s and embarrassed me by taking the car. We were having such a great time after a big fight and then you guys came over and ruined the rest of my plans,” Spencer whined.
“Spencer don’t be so selfish. You took the car without permission. You were gone all day long. We started to worry about you and then you wouldn’t answer the phone because of that Ashley…You’re father’s so upset right now,” Paula said shaking her head in disappointment.
“Mom, I love Ashley and Dad is not going to change that, no matter what he says.”
“Oh, what could you know about love at your age…”
Spencer looked her mother letting her anger grow, “I know that you still love Christine.”
Paula slammed on the brakes. Spencer was glad they were in the neighbor or that would have caused a serious accident.
Paula glared at Spencer, “Spencer! Despite what your father thinks or you think, there is nothing going on with Christine and me! I am not like you! I am not that way! And from now on, no more you and Ashley. No more hanging out! No more anything!” Paula continued mumbling something under her breath that Spencer couldn’t understand.
Spencer was fuming inside. She thought her mother was being so hypocritical knowing that she still had something with Christine. “Mom it’s so obvious that you care for her…”
“Care for who?!”
“Christine! And I know that’s how you found out about Ashley because she told me. She told me you were still fucking Christine. But it’s okay mom, I know how irresistible a Davies’ pussy can be,” she taunted.
Spencer knew that she had gone too far in her anger when she felt the sharp pain on her face from the slap from Paula. “You will never ever talk to me in that way Spencer Carlin! Never! I don’t care if you are gay or not, I will not allow it! Get out of this car right now!”
