Chapter 3 Out of you league

She’s still looking at me but her face has changed. She has a look almost as if she were waiting for my reaction. I just smiled back at her then looked down at the book Madi had placed in front of me. I didn’t want her to see the disappointment in my eyes.

Yes..disappointment. Surprised I was not. How could I be? This woman is beautiful, sexy as hell, smart, sexy as hell and even has a sense of humor.

I did mention sexy as hell right? Okay then.

And just when I thought she couldn’t get any sexier she places on a pair of black horn rimmed glasses, opens a book and leans back.

Wow!

I am now back to staring until Madi nudges me and points to my book. However I just cannot seem to focus on the book in front of me. My mind starts to wander. Of course all thoughts on the very intriguing woman not 20 feet away. What is her husband like? Is she happy? How old is she? (Not that that matters to me) What’s her favorite color? Favorite food? Am I intriguing to her? What kind of perfume does she wear? And so on and so on and so on. And at this point I am completely obsessed. This is ridiculous and I need to focus on something else.

Like Poe.

I start trying again to read and just then Mrs. Dennison starts quietly talking to us. We are to check out our books and then we are free to go. It’s five minutes before the period ends and I just realized I spent the last half hour thinking about nothing but her. Ugh! Madi and I get up from our table to go check out our books and as we pass by Mrs. Dennison she looks up and says

"Have a good day ladies" with a sexy ass grin on her face.

"And you as well Mrs. Dennison" that was Madi.

I just winked and kept walking. Yeah…I winked. This is what I do. Can’t seem too eager. We check out our books and walk out of the library. Once we are in the hallway Madi slugs me in the arm.
