Tell Me Where We Go From Here… – (Chapter: But I Thought)
Ashley Davies sat on her lonesome bed, thinking of nothing. She could hear music faintly in the distance, but her thoughts just kept tracing back to one person: Spencer.
"Haha, look’s like Aiden’s finally gettin some!" Ashley snorted, motioning Spencer to look over to their friend groping the girl they spotted earlier, "Lucky." She mumbled under her breath, but Ashley’s girlfriend managed to hear.
"You know, i’m not one to be the jealous type, but you’ve stepped over the line, Ash!" Spencer was livid, "I give you everything you want, and we have a perfect day, and we’re in the perfect moment, and somehow you find some way to ruin things by keeping your mind, and eyes might i add, on other girls! God Ashley, what more do you want from me?" Ashley’s jaw was dropped.
"…I’m sorry, Spence." Was all she could say.
"Sorry? SORRY? No, you haven’t even begun to feel ‘sorry’ yet." The blond retrieved her towel, clothes, and headed toward the exit of the beach.
Ashley shot up after her. "Spencer! Where are you going? You have NO ride home!" She just looked back at the smaller girl, and shook her head in anger.
"I’ll find someone to give me a ride."
"No, baby, please just come back. I’m sorry, you’re perfect and I couldn’t ask for anything else from you. I’m a perv, i know." Ashley smiled a little at her last line, trying to lighten the mood as she reached the side of her furiated girlfriend.
"Don’t try to make me soften, Davies, it wont work." She stayed stern. A frown pursed her face.
"Well, at least come back to my house with me, i’ll make things better, i promise!"
"No! I just need to be alone. I need time to think about things, even if I know inside I am overreacting." She was shocked at herself ADMITTING that she was wrong.
"Well, call me, please? By tonight?" She got no definite answer, but she got the priviledge of riding home with her and Aiden, though Aiden was definitely not pleased in leaving his new fling.
Spencer still hadn’t called her. 11:02. She studied her phone. She blamed herself totally for this, even though Spencer had admitted that she shouldn’t have gotten THAT mad. Why did she have to be so stupid? Of course, Ashley was thinking herself, not her girlfriend. Spencer had every right to get mad at her. She always said things about girls infront of her, and she was sure that it slowly overtook Spencer’s nerves. But, she knew how Ashley Davies acted, didn’t she? She should’ve expected her to say that! No. It’s completely and uterly my fault.
