That Girl. – (Chapter: A Friendship, That’s It.)

So, here it was.  Time to go see Ashley in concert with Aiden and Glen.  Man it has been forever since I’ve actually seen her, and she is going to be standing right in front of me.  I wonder what she will do if she sees me.  Ok, her we go.  We just walked in the building.

All eyes are on me.  They all know who I am.  They are Ashley Davies fans.  I’m getting winks, and they are definitly whispering.  Ashley said in an interview that I’d never been to one of her shows, and I’m here now.

    "You ok?"  Aiden asked.

"Yeah.  I’d be if they’d stop looking at me like that."  I said.

"They just want you."  Aiden laughed.

"You know, I don’t blame them."  Some guy said coming up behind me.

"Can I help you?"  I asked.

"It’s just a shame girl.  You are way to damn pretty to be dating girls."  He said.

"Hey, back up fucked, or you’ll regret it."  Glen said this time.

"Is there a problem here?"  A security office asked.

"This guy was threating me."  The random guy answered.

"Do I need to take you guys out?"  He asked.  Then, his eyes landed on Spencer’s.  "Oh, Miss Carlin.  I’m sorry this guy was bothering you.  I’ll escort you to your seats."

    They were finally seated.

"Man, Spence, I didn’t realize you had that much influence."  Aiden said.

    "Me either."  I replied.

We waited for about twenty minutes before Ashley come out on the stage.  I was nervous.  I never thought I’d be this nervous.  Then, the lights went dim.  She walked out on the stage, guitar in hand.  Man she is beautiful.  That was all I could think.  She hadn’t looked our way, and she never did while she sang the opening song, "You & Me."  That was the first song she ever wrote for me.

Then, she sat down about a foot to my right.  I couldn’t even look up until I heard her speak.

"This song is brand new, and I think we all know who it’s about.  Every single day people think that I will love her less because they say it heals with time.  Well, that isn’t true.  They say that you are born with one heart of your own and someone else has your other one that you are supposed to find.  Well, she’s my other half.  I’d rather spend the rest of my life lonely than being with anyone else.  It’s called, "It’s Only Love.""

    1. What peeves me about Spencer is the fact that she blames Ashley for everything that is happening, when Ashley has no control over it…Spencer needs to grow up…pms
