The College Years: A Peak into Ashley Davies Life – (Chapter: Prologue)
My name is Ashley Davies and I’m graduating from high school next week, finally. I’m sooo uber excited! One because I’m so sick of high school drama I could scream. Second is that means I’m officially going to be a bad ass college student next semester. Who, by the way, is going to be living on on campus away from one’s parent. Don’t get me wrong I love my parents to death, but I need to branch out get away from the whole family scene. Just for a little bit, actually knowing me I’ll be at the rents every weekend since I’ll only be a half hour away. I’m just glad my brother Aiden will be there with me. Ok so he isn’t actually my brother, that would be kinda weird since he’s dating my sister kyla. So I guess he’s like my brother-in-law. Sort of, I guess. You know they have actually been talking about getting married too, that’s the weird thing. I personally think they’re too young. I’m too young and i’m a year older than my sister. I also haven’t found the right person so that could also be why I’m thinking they’re too young. But I really don’t think that’s my problem. I really hope I do find someone eventually. Cuz I don’t wanna die alone. Then I’m allergic to cats. So I wouldn’t even have cats to keep me company…
Mr. Garcia: “…Ms. Davies are you even listening to me?” He asked with a stern look on his face.
Ashley: “Hmm? I’m sorry could you repeat the question?” What does he want now? I probably couldn’t answer it now anyway. Oh and just a little fyi Mr. Garcia is my calculus teacher. And a boring one at that. Calc is a boring class anyway, add a monotone bald headed creepy guy and you’ve got a cocktail for a snooze fest.
Mr. Garcia: “I asked you what the arc tangent of the cosign…” blah blah blah can’t even pay attention to the rest of his question.
Ashley: “One.” I’m just pulling this out of my ass, but I’ve noticed that a ton of calc answers are either one or does not exist.
Mr. Garcia: “That’s correct. Thank you Ms. Davies.” No freakin way. Not gonna lie, that never works. Maybe God was feeling gracious today. I don’t know and I honestly don’t care. I’m just glad that it was right and he’ll leave me alone for the rest of the period. Which means ever again cuz this is my last class ever of my high school career.
