The Little Things That Make Life Great – (Chapter: Ridiculous Obsession With Love)

Ashley looked lazily up at the clock.

"How could it barely be noon?!," she thought.

She had a crazy night with some random girl at Grey’s the night before and had a major headache but she thought school was better than staying home cuz the she-devil that was her mom was there.

"I wonder what boy toy is gonna be my ‘new daddy.’," she thought with a smile. As if. She still hadn’t gotten over her Dad. And Kyla coming randomly into the picture didn’t exactly help either. She just needed to get away from it all. Find somewhere to belong.

"HI ASHLEY!," Aiden yelled while dropping his books on her desk and taking a seat right next to her. "Saw you were day dreaming and just wanted to snap you out of it before the teacher came in," he said with a laugh.

    "Ass."

"Whoa! A little hostile there Ash. Let me guess….rough night?"

"Ugh. Tell me about it…." Ashley didn’t really feel like getting into this with Aiden. There was a bunch of things going on in her life to deal with him and his testosterone. "God…something needs to happen. Something different."

"Like what? Madison pulling a Britney and shaving her head?!," Aiden replied, muffled with a sandwich he was eating randomly.

"Ew. Gross. Mind catching up with evolution and eating like a civilized person?," Ashley said in disgust.

"Whatever. You know you want this.," he said wiping his mouth and making a Zoolander pose with his face. That got quite a big laugh from Ashley.

"Christ on bicycle! Where the hell’s the teacher?," Ashley said.

"Oh, she’s outside talking to the new student. She’s pretty hot.," he said. Ashley just rolled her eyes. But she was curious to what this new girl was about. She might be what she had been looking for.

"Did you get her name?," she asked.

"Umm yeah. I think it’s Lazy Eye.," Aiden replied absent mindedly.

"Wow. Earth to Aiden are you retarded or does she have mean parents?," Ashley giggled.

"Oh! Sorry! I was listening to the Silversun Pickups. I thought you asked for the song name," Aiden laughed.

"Riiiight. As magical as this conversation is, I think I’m gonna go over there and talk to her. You know, give her the old Ashley Davies charm.," Ashley said with a wink.

"O-m-g!", he said with a high pitched voice. Ashley punched him in the arm.

"You can be such a guy sometimes."

"That’s what I do best.," he replied with a smirk.

Ashley continued to look at the door with great anticipation. Was this girl gonna be cool? Would they be friends? Maybe even….something more. "Snap out of it Davies!," she thought to herself. "You’re such a damn hopeless romantic! How could she ever have feelings for a girl with a past like mine?" But she wouldn’t stop thinking about it.

Suddenly the door opened and in came the girl with the teacher. Ashley’s mouth immediately dropped….
