"Ash!"

She continues to laugh at me, so I dunk her. I’m the one laughing now when she come spluttering up. She growls at me and launches at me, so I take off swimming across the pool. We continue fooling around until Ashley wraps her arms around me from behind and I just lay back into her.

"We have to get out and get ready, Spence."

I sighed, "Why are we going again?"

"Because Aiden is your boyfriend."

"Well that’s not a very good reason."

She laughed and placed a kiss on my neck, sending a shiver through me which I hid, "As your best friend and his, I need to make sure you’re there."

I pouted even though she couldn’t see it, "Fine."

She laughed again before letting me go and taking my hand, "C’mon pouty."

I follow her out of the pool and we both towel dry before going inside. We go straight up to her room afterward. I go into her bathroom and shut the door before beginning to remove my bakini.

After I’m naked, I turn the water on in the shower and adjust it before getting in. Only a minute or two in, I hear Ashley’s voice, "Spence?"

"Yeah?"

"We have a problem."

"What did you do this time?" I ask laughing.

"Hey! I resent that. I didn’t do anything. Aiden just called and said he wanted us to come earlier and Christine and remodeling the other showers."

"Fuck," I say under my breath.

"Uh… Spence?"

"Yeah Ash?"

"Um… would it be ok if we just uh… shared… the shower?"

I was struck silent. I hadn’t seen Ashley naked since we were little girls and we took our last shower together. It was after that that our moms deemed us to old for it.

"Spence, you can say no, I won’t be offended. If I was straight and my gay best friend asked to share a shower, I’s probably say no too. It’s ok, it was a dumb idea anyway," she began to shut the door.

"Ash?"

"Yeah Spence?"

"Well that’s not a very good reason."

I hear laughter as the door shuts. I swallow knowing that a some-what wet Ashley was undressing only a few feet away.

I hear the door to the shower open and close and know she’s now in here with me. Naked.
