    First impressions say a lot

    Spencer was worried about how Jodie acted on the phone so she hoped meeting Ashley would make things easier. She was making a great dinner for her girlfriend and her girl friend, which she loved. The way she loves Ashley was different than the way she loves Jodie. She just couldn’t explain it but she knew that she and Ashley were suppose to meet Jodie it just felt like fate was in charge of this one.

    Jodie opened the door and to her surprise Spencer was waiting around the corner and jumped out to greet her with a big kiss. Jodie did not know what to do because she did not want to hurt Spencer’s feelings. She stepped back and pulled back from Spencer, “Wow, I guess you missed me a little” Jodie said with surprise. “Yes I did, Ashley went to the studio to work and I have been alone all day” Spencer answered just glad she was home. Jodie walked toward her bedroom, Spencer followed behind, but Jodie closed the door before she made it in. Jodie knew she basically shut the door in her face, but things are really strange since her confession to Spencer. Even though Spencer felt the same, Jodie was expecting a rejection. The situation was switched because she is usually the one who is let down.

    Spencer stopped at the door with a confused look on her face, and knocked lightly to get Jodie to answer the door. “Hey Jodie, can we talk?” Spencer asked hoping for a positive answer. Jodie opened the door with a blank look on her face,”Alright come in” Jodie responded. Spencer walked past Jodie and sat on her bed, and then she patted the space next to her so Jodie would sit by her. “Come sit here and let us talk” Spencer suggested with a smile. Jodie ignored the friendly gesture because Spencer’s smiles always made her vulnerable. 

     Spencer cleared her throat and said, “Jodie I have noticed that you are acting quite different towards me now that Ashley is back, why is that?” Jodie looked at Spencer with embarrassment, “I know I just wanted to let the two of you be alone” she answered. “No, that is not an answer, that is an excuse if I have ever heard one” Spencer said reaching out to touch Jodie on the shoulder. Jodie shrugged her hand off of her and stood by looking out the window. Spencer stood up also and walked up to Jodie and turned around, she put her arms up on her shoulders and stared into her eyes, “Now Jodie I want you to look at me, really look at me. I know there is something bothering and I want you to explain to me why you are acting this way because you are not yourself.” Spencer was now shouting at Jodie, she had tears in her eyes. Jodie would not look up, but after several times Spencer made her look at her. Jodie saw that Spencer had tears and just pulled away and told her not to worry. Spencer said, “Of course I am going to worry, I love you can you understand that, I love you please tell me” as she cries out loud. As Jodie turned around to face Spencer, the door to her bedroom opened and a gorgeous brunette walked in asked, “Spencer what the hell is going on here?” Ashley asked as she saw her lover crying. Ashley walked straight up to Jodie and punched Jodie in the face. Spencer cried out, “No Ashley, that is Jodie don’t hurt her, please don’t”. Jodie hit the floor with a thump and Ashley walked toward Jodie and said, “No one makes Spencer cry, you got it?” Jodie nodded her head and stood up to get herself together, she said “Sorry Spencer, I have been worried that Ashley was not going to like me. Now this answers my concerns and I know what I have to do now”. With that Jodie walked out of the door.
